Objective: To determine the association between depression and functional dependence in elderly patients of the Centro Geriátrico Naval (Peruvian naval medical center for elderly people). Materials and methods: A retrospective, cross-sectional, analytic study conducted from a secondary data analysis, with a convenience sample size of 625 elderly people. Results: In the linear regression analysis which predicts functional dependence according to the Barthel Index, it was found that, for each point in the Yesavage questionnaire, the Barthel Index score decreases 4.8±1.82 points and, for every 5 points, it decreases 29.99±3.62 points. In Mexico, a high percentage of young people experience symptoms of generalized anxiety, which are associated with difficulties in executive functions (EF). However, previous studies have shown inconsistent results, as they often rely solely on either objective or subjective measures. Therefore, this study focused on analyzing the relationship between generalized anxiety and EF using both a neuropsychological battery and a self-report questionnaire, in order to provide a more comprehensive understanding of cognitive functioning in adolescents. El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó con el objeto de valorar la capacidad funcional de las personas de la tercera edad del Centro Integral de Atención al Adulto Mayor de la Municipalidad Provincial de Maynas. El trabajo es una investigación cuantitativa con diseño no experimental, transversal de tipo descriptivo correlacional. Se aplicó el Índice de Barthel, para identificar el grado de independencia en sus actividades básicas de la vida diaria y la escala de Lawton y Brody para identificar el grado de independencia en sus actividades instrumentales. It is tried to determine if significant differences exist in the lexical wealth in function of the school grade and of the type of educational, state center or matter. With a sample of 2956 students to those that it was evaluated with the Test of Wealth and of Lexical Precision built by André King (1962). The data were analyzed by means of the factorial analysis of variance for the individual effect and cocktail and the Analysis of Variance of a Factor for design multigroup. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a widely used material in container manufacturing, particularly in bottle production. It is characterized by its low cost and widespread availability. However, its improper disposal has significantly exacerbated global plastic pollution. For instance, less than 50% of plastic bottles are recycled. Moreover, studies indicate that this issue has led to a significant accumulation of plastic waste in the oceans, which continues to grow annually and could be considered floating islands of debris. This study proposes replacing PET with polylactic acid (PLA), a biodegradable and biocompatible polymer with suitable properties for bottle production. OBJETIVO: Determinar la relación entre la velocidad de marcha y la capacidad funcional en adultos mayores de un centro poblado en Lima, 2024. METODOLOGÍA: Se utilizó un diseño observacional, correlacional y transversal, con un enfoque cuantitativo y basado en el método hipotético-deductivo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 80 adultos mayores de un centro poblado, seleccionados mediante un muestreo censal. Se aplicaron el Índice de Barthel y la Escala de Lawton y Brody para evaluar la capacidad funcional, y el Test de Velocidad de Marcha de 4 Metros para medir la velocidad de marcha. Objetivo: El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación del riesgo de caídas con la capacidad funcional en adultos mayores atendidos en un centro de fisioterapia del distrito de Huaura; 2020. Método: se desarrolló un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básica, de nivel correlacional, diseño no experimental y método hipotético deductivo. The graphical display of complex-valued functions of a complex variable is a subject of much interest since the graph of such a function would have to be drawn in a four-dimensional space. This article presents a proposal to display such graphs using a model based on a submersion, from four-dimensional space to three-dimensional space; then, with the help of Mathematica arrive at a representation of the graphs mentioned in a 2D screen. Additionally, some commands are implemented in Mathematica, the same that will make representations varied and interesting examples.

El tema seleccionado surge a partir de los resultados arrojados por la última prueba PISA de la Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD, 2023), donde se observa el bajo rendimiento educativo en el Perú. Según Helga Solís, vocera de Seguro Social de Salud (EsSalud, 2024), el 64% de los alumnos de primaria y secundaria presentan dificultades de aprendizaje, lo que genera reprobaciones, repitencias y abandono escolar. Esta situación no solo responde a deficiencias pedagógicas e intelectuales, sino también a la falta de motivación estudiantil. This paper analyzes the information treatment of the Mapuche people in the newspaper El Mercurio during two periods. First, between 1950 and 1973 (twentieth century); and second, during the years 2010, 2013 and 2014, (21st century). To this end, a corpus of 340 journalistic texts has been selected, of which 147 correspond to the 20th century (1950-1970) and 193, to the 21st century (2010, 2013-2014). The analysis shows that most of the frames are linked to conflicts, criminal prosecutions and arson attacks; so that El Mercurio prioritizes connotations and negative events to inform about the Mapuche indigenous people.
