Introduction. Dementia is a public health problem; the World Health Organization promotes its research for the implementation of health policies against this disease. Objectives. To determine the prevalence of dementia and describe the functionality of older adults in a geriatric clinic in Huancayo, Peru. Methods. Observational and cross-sectional study, in a random probabilistic sample of 382 patients. Results The average age was 82,6 years, 60,7% was female, the primary education level was 49,7%, the place of origin Huancayo was 29,6%. The prevalence of dementia was estimated in 9,9%, mild cognitive deterioration in 11%. In basic activities of daily life, 19,4% had partial dependence; and in instrumental activities of life, 23% severe dependence. Conclusions. Adolescence is a critical period where social skills play an important role in the personal performance of each individual, for which the family plays a fundamental role in the development and consolidation of these social skills. The article aims to identify the relationship between social skills in adolescents and family functionality. The interactions between two species are basic in the study of complex food chains, particularly the relation among the predators and their prey.The analysis of simple models, described by continuous-time systems, in which some ecological phenomena are incorporated giving lights about this interesting interrelationship.In this work, a Leslie-Gower type predator-prey model is analyzed, considering two aspects: the prey defends from the predation, forming group defense and the predators have an alternative food. The aim of this study was to characterize the semen of the Peruvian Hairless Dog. Fifteen males, aged 1 to 5 years, registered by the Kennel Club Peruano were used to collect semen (one ejaculated per male) by digital manipulation. A basic spermatogram was performed and macroscopic (volume and colour) and microscopic (sperm motility and concentration, using light field microscopy) characteristics were recorded. Additionally, sperm function tests were performed: sperm viability (using SYBR-14 and propidium iodide), mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP, using MitoTraker Deep Red FM), and acrosomal integrity (using FITC-PSA and propidium iodide) and analysed by flow cytometry with image analysis. Objective: To determine the association between depression and functional dependence in elderly patients of the Centro Geriátrico Naval (Peruvian naval medical center for elderly people). Materials and methods: A retrospective, cross-sectional, analytic study conducted from a secondary data analysis, with a convenience sample size of 625 elderly people. Results: In the linear regression analysis which predicts functional dependence according to the Barthel Index, it was found that, for each point in the Yesavage questionnaire, the Barthel Index score decreases 4.8±1.82 points and, for every 5 points, it decreases 29.99±3.62 points. El presente trabajo es un estudio descriptivo, transversal, observacional que se realizará en 80 adultos mayores adscritos en el Hospital Ricardo Cruzado Rivarola- Nasca, para ello se solicitara que llenen una ficha de datos personales y el consentimiento informado, luego se les realizara una evaluación del desempeño físico, utilizando el test (SPPB) evalúa : prueba de balance, velocidad de la marcha y prueba de fuerza (levantarse y sentarse 5 veces de una silla) usando un cronometro y dará un puntaje desempeño físico normal o desempeño físico nulo, y el test de Barthel con sus 2 dimensiones :autocuidado y movilidad, se utilizará para evaluar las actividades básicas. The purpose of this research was to determine the loss of function of the stomatognathic system in relation to the chewing capacity and aesthetic factor in students from 7 to 10 years old at the Independencia School - Puno 2022. Method, it is basic in scope, explanatory, quantitative, non-specific design. experimental, transversal. 186 children aged 7 to 10 years participated, whose oral cavity was examined in order to determine the number of lost teeth. Descriptive statistics and inference were used to corroborate the hypothesis. El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó con el objeto de valorar la capacidad funcional de las personas de la tercera edad del Centro Integral de Atención al Adulto Mayor de la Municipalidad Provincial de Maynas. To determine the association between the application of the Rehabilitation Program (RP) and the Functional Performance (DF) of patients with Parkinson's disease at the "Cirujano Mayor Santiago Távara" Naval Medical Center. Methods. Analytical, longitudinal, retrospective cohort study, in 18 months. By means of a sample of 46 patients, in two cohorts, functional performance was determined by dimensions of basic activities (Barthel indexes), strength and endurance (SPPB) and walking speed.
