The legal profession is in the process of adapting to a globalized world that is increasingly international. This globalization of law goes hand in hand with the internationalization of the economy and politics. The answer is the internationalization of law. Today we can see how legal matters, clients, conflict, court, knowledge, institutional life and therefore internationalize the occupation. All this leads us to the lawyer should know integration processes occurring mainly for economic reasons such as the European Union and the Andean Community of Nations, but these processes have also led to the internal rules are changed based on the decisions of international tribunals, in this context, counsel should handle international law and how we engage national law these decisions at the supranational level. To achieve this goal the professional law must handle not only theoretical knowledg...

This article aims to integrate business processes in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs, or PYMES for its acronym in Spanish). The integration will be achieved through the development of web applications based on integration architectures, such as Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web services. The integration of business processes allows companies to join their business objectives, as well as optimize processes based on the concept of service. To achieve an optimal communication between companies and their clients through the services, various web standards were used, including: XML as standard format to describe the data; SOAP as data exchange protocol; WSDL to describe available services; and finally UDDI to publish information and check what web services are available.

Immigration has become a phenomenon with relevant social and economic consequences in Spain due to the increase of foreign populations in the last several years. This work focuses on studying different aspects that favour the immigrants’ integration in Spain and the role of advertising in this process. The methodological approach used is markedly qualitative based on social studies, content analysis and in-depth interviews with different professionals and focus-groups. The results of this study have shown that advertising contributes effectively to the integration process.

In this paper, we propose an optimization model for medical services processes to reduce waiting time using process mining. In medical services, there is a high percentage of dissatisfaction with medical care due to the processes related to appointment booking and waiting time for medical consultation. As a result, patients change medical services due to the urgency of the symptoms they suffer, generating distrust in health services in Peru. Through a medical information system, events of medical care processes are collected for analysis using the Celonis tool. The process mining discipline uses the discovery of the study process to identify existing bottlenecks in the process and violations that are included when monitoring process events. The proposed model is based on identifying the existing bottlenecks in the processes, which are appointment booking and office care, as these process...

Peru has a fragmented health system, which limits access to its health services because the people seeking medical services can only be treated in specified health centers that are determined by their health insurance. Additionally, this causes each health provider to count and manage their processes and information in an isolated and independent manner. In the Peruvian case, this generates an overload in public health services, since, of the 83.3% of insured nationwide, 73.1% belong to the public sector. Therefore, a process architecture is presented, based on the Zachman framework, that integrates the processes of health services (outpatient, hospitalization and emergencies), as well as an Information Technology (IT) process that supports them. The architecture aims to ensure that level III hospitals in Peru have standardized processes and information, as well as to guarantee their app...

Geo-referenced textual data has been the subject of multiple investigations, by providing opportunities to better understand certain phenomena according to the content that is shared, either on-line such as social networks, blogs, and news; or through repositories such as scientific research articles, geo-referenced virtual books, among others. However, the characteristics of this information are studied, analyzed and processed separately, either through its textual components or its geo-spatial components, which offers a separate understanding of the results. In this paper, we propose an integration of textual and geo-spatial components from the pre-processing phase to the visualization stage, As a part of the Document Mapping process based on the phases of the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD). Achieving two main results (1) minimize the problems that arise in the visual phase, su...

In this article we address the issue of care rights in Latin America, specifically in Argentina and Mexico, focusing in particular on the legislative processes related to comprehensive care systems at the sub-national and national levels. We draw on the cases of Mexico City (2018-2019) and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (2019) as well as the national level in each country, where there are ongoing legislative initiatives (2020). We take a comparative socio-historical and gender approach to show the social and political dynamics involved in the legislative processes that lead to the recognition of the rights of caregivers and the cared for in each case, at the subnational levels of the capital cities and the national level of both countries. Our categories of analysis are: the social conditions of gender violence; the social and political actors that participate in the construction of...

Stochastic processes with the long-range dependency (LRD) property are fundamental to modeling data that exhibit slow power decay of the covariance function. Such  behavior often appears in the analysis of financial data, telecommunications, and various natural phenomena. Thus, introducing new stochastic models and statistical methods that take the LRD into account is of great interest. Based on previous work, we introduce a  new stochastic process called quadratic fractionally integrated moving average, that arises from the Quadratic Ornstein-Uhlenbeck Type (QOUT) process, proposed in the literature. We consider Lévy noises of finite second-order moments and use a construction based on a moving average stochastic process whose kernel is that of a QOUT process. Then, using Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals, we propose a fractionally integrated moving average process, for ...

People naturally express emotions in simultaneous different ways. Thus, multimodal methods are becoming popular for emotion recognition and analysis of reactions to many aspects of daily life. This research work presents a multimodal method for emotion recognition from images. The multi-modal method analyses facial expressions, body gestures and the characteristics of the body and the environment to determine an emotional state, processing each modality with a specialised deep learning model and then applying the proposed fusion method. The fusion method, called EmbraceNet+, consists of a branched architecture that integrates the EmbraceNet fusion method with other fusion methods. The tests carried out on an adaptation of the EMOTIC dataset show that the proposed multi-modal method is effective and improves the results obtained by individual processings, as well as competing with other s...

The purpose of this article is to expand the taxonomy of the most frequent ethical misconducts currently found in scientific publications. We present examples of fraud in contrast to an ethical conduct in research and publications arising from research. Then, we show the taxonomy in different stages: before, during and after the publication. Before the publication, the following ethical misconducts were found: conflicts of interest not declared by the authors, undeserved or insufficient authorship, salami slicing, plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication, manipulation or impossibility of data replication, and parallel submission of articles. During the process of publication: conflicts of interest in peer review, false peer reviewers, theft of the manuscript by peer reviewers, content mishandling and undeserved authorship following peer review. After the publication: alteration of the im...

At a time of various national crises and new global challenges that put the Andean Community’s security and integrity at risk, its member countries seek, above all, to protect themselves with their weak democracies, precarious institutional systems and contradictory national legal systems. These state actions, which largely reflect the rule of law´s deficiency in the member countries, causes infringement of Andean community law, reiterate lack of interest in consolidating Andean integration, violate human rights, and, above all, disregard our supranational organization’s community of law based on the rule of law. To reverse this situation, in this article, we propose that the judicial system of the Andean Community be in charge of preserving the Member Countries’s rule of law and strengthening the Andean Community’s community of law based on the rule of law, through new judicial...

Latin American scholars, who have studied the Andean subregional integration process, viewed the Andean Community as a less effective attempt to follow the European Union model and pointed to its diffuse institutional framework and the divergent political vision of the Andean countries as deficiencies. However, European scholars, who have addressed their regional integration process, and even compared it with the Andean one, started from a different theoretical notion by cataloging them as supranational political systems, which allowed them, unlike the Latin American scholars, to introduce theoretical and methodological tools of Political Science to understand the policy-making process in the European Union. In this sense, the research article seeks to understand the policy-making process in the Andean Community, incorporating theories, approaches and methodologies of International Relati...

Currently, Peruvian textile companies have played a very important role in the national economy, therefore, they are constantly seeking to implement production design strategies that allow them to obtain optimum efficiency. Accordingly, this scientific paper aims to increase efficiency in the finishing area by implementing a production model based on Lean-TPM. The results obtained can be of great value for textile industries, especially for those who wish to improve the efficiency of their operations, avoid waste and increase productivity. Therefore, the commitment to adopt new ways of working starts from the highest levels of management down to the operators, and it is important to integrate all members of the production team, because it will lead to achieve great economic benefits and be more competitive in the textile market. This article refers to the implementation of autonomous mai...

In the development of projects where hardware and software components are included, electronic components such as sensors, actuators, control mechanisms, artificial vision equipment are used, these require a base platform to be inserted, most of these components require different mechanisms to be used, such as connectors and interfaces, which determines the implementation of a complex system made up of different technologies and communication protocols, added to this problem is the different energy requirements so the system ends up performing a high energy consumption, the proposal presented is the use of the NVIDIA Jetson TK1 development platform, which is equipped with many alternatives to connect a series of sensors and actuators, cameras and other devices, as well as a powerful processing unit graph GPU from where you can perform image processing ny video in the same platform, manag...
