This paper is concerned with traveling wave solutions for a delayed reaction-diffusion SVIR epidemic model that includes both general incidence function and imperfect vaccination. In the model, the spread of infection in space is explicitly taken into account by using a heterogeneous environment; it takes into consideration the delay in immune response and inefficiency in vaccinations. The analysis carried out below shows that the basic reproduction number Ro will be a critical value for determining the existence of traveling waves. More precisely, when Ro > 1 there exists a minimal wave speed ρ* > 0 such that the system admits nontrivial traveling wave solutions for ρ ≥ ρ* whereas no such solutions exist for ρ < ρ*. On the other hand, if Ro ≤ 1, there are no traveling wave solutions. The introduction of delays and imperfect vaccination adds richness and complexity to t...

This research has led to construct an artificial neural network ARN with Radial Basis Function, and using Mahalanobis distance RND, for improving the quality of process design, which have performed better than those obtained with the for traditional statistical analysis of design of experiments and other RNA that already exist, for cases that are working with several independent and dependent variables in which its relations are not linear. It also allows with the RND obtain input parameters to achieve a desired level of quality, for it applies a methodology that uses RNAReverse and Direct at once.

The present study tries to clearly formulate the syntactic concepts necessary to understand and interpret classical Latin texts, as well as philosophical, historical or literary texts, compulsory in university humanistic studies. The study of the Latin language entails the conjunction of two essential aspects of language: its morphology (regarding Latin, with its nominal, adjectival and pronominal declensions, as well as the paradigms of verb conjugations) and syntax, that is, the characteristic rules of its structure, its expressions, and its possibilities. In this study we do not take into account the morphological rules as they are already known. We formulate instead the syntactic combinations of the four essential grammatical categories: the noun, the adjective, the verb and the adverb. We go in depth in the peculiarity of each function, as well as other syntactic forms that can also p...

This article intends to analyze treatment and functions assigned to the penalty by our Peruvian Constitution and the way this legal institution is conducted at the prescribed basic penalty level (imposed by the legislator ineach type of criminal offence), the specific penalty level (imposed by the judge according to its individual characteristics in each case) and at the penitentiary enforcement level. Finally recommends some considerations for carrying out a possible legislative reform in accordance with a criminal policy plan within our constitutional framework.

Human high-altitude (HA) adaptation or mal-adaptation is explored to understand the physiology, pathophysiology, and molecular mechanisms that underlie long-term exposure to hypoxia. Here, we report the results of an analysis of the largest whole-genome-sequencing of Chronic Mountain Sickness (CMS) and nonCMS individuals, identified candidate genes and functionally validated these candidates in a genetic model system (Drosophila). We used PreCIOSS algorithm that uses Haplotype Allele Frequency score to separate haplotypes carrying the favored allele from the noncarriers and accordingly, prioritize genes associated with the CMS or nonCMS phenotype. Haplotypes in eleven candidate regions, with SNPs mostly in nonexonic regions, were significantly different between CMS and nonCMS subjects. Closer examination of individual genes in these regions revealed the involvement of previously identifi...

The objective of this research is to develop as thematic content the worldview, cultural practices and grammatical foundations of the Shipibo-Konibo ethnolinguistic group and, with this, to elaborate the theoretical-methodological framework of a communicative-functional method at a basic level, necessary for its teaching/learning as a second language (SL)/foreign language (LE) in urban contexts. For this purpose, the international standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) are taken as a reference. As a result, we have a proposal of transversal thematic axes with a mainly intra- and intercultural content, which were applied in class sessions and followed a didactic approach of continuous learning under a research-action methodology. We conclude by pointing out that this methodological proposal is undoubtedly innovative and will set a precedent in the dev...

COVID-19 is a disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, a virus that represents a serious threat to global health. The objective of the article is to deepen into the structure of the structural and non-structural proteins of SARS-CoV-2 and their role during the infection of its target cells; also to propose molecules from in silico studies that inhibit proteins of the viral cycle for potential pharmacological treatments. The SARS-CoV-2 genome has ORFs that encode sixteen non-structural proteins (Nsp1-16), four structural proteins (Spike, Envelope, Membrane, and Nucleocapsid), and nine accessory proteins; that fulfill various functions in the entry of the virus and its viral cycle. In silico studies of drugs such as disulfiram and viomycin, and molecules found in plants as Azadirachta indica, the tea plant, and Andrographis paniculata have shown inhibitory effects on the SARS-CoV-2 viral cycle.

In Mexico, a high percentage of young people experience symptoms of generalized anxiety, which are associated with difficulties in executive functions (EF). However, previous studies have shown inconsistent results, as they often rely solely on either objective or subjective measures. Therefore, this study focused on analyzing the relationship between generalized anxiety and EF using both a neuropsychological battery and a self-report questionnaire, in order to provide a more comprehensive understanding of cognitive functioning in adolescents. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational, and explanatory design was employed. The sample consisted of 96 adolescents between 12 and 15 years old from the state of Puebla, Mexico. A total of 10.41% of participants presented severe symptoms of generalized anxiety. A significant relationship was found between anxiety and one o...
