The teaching of human parasitology is essential for students of health sciences, especially medicine, because it is a major global public health problem―occurring with high frequency in low-income countries―and because of its presence in countries considered developed. In this sense, it is estimated that worldwide there are 2,800 million individuals infected with soil-transmitted helminths, 20 to 30% people infected with Toxoplasma gondii, 300 to 500 million new cases of malaria per year, and nearly 15 million Latin Americans with Chagas disease, an infection caused by Trypanosoma cruzi. This narrative review article analyzes information available in digital repositories on aspects of the traditional educational program of human or medical parasitology using descriptors or keywords closely related to the topic. The reviewed articles were mainly those published in peer-reviewed, index...

The essential purpose of this research was to verify if an Environmental Education Program developed and applied by the above-mentioned authors positively influences the development and consolidation of the care and conservation of Amazonian forests in students of the CC specialty. H H. H.H. of the UNFV (CC. HH. SS. of the UNFV onwards). To this end, two Likert-type questionnaires were applied as entrance and exit tests for the program. The sample consisted of 44 students (30 students belonging to the Experimental Group and 14 students belonging to the Control Group), which was selected using “non-probabilistic sampling” of the opinion or criterial type. The approach was quantitative, the descriptive level comparative and the design adopted was the “quasi-experimental”. The “t” ratio of Student was used, and the SPSS Program was applied to process the information collected th...

This study seeks to identify evidence of how prepared Lima’s museums are to face new challenges like that presented by Covid-19, and what recommendations they should follow in terms of research, communication and education. Following an exploratory discourse analysis based study, a list of recommendations was compiled and grouped into three categories: management of virtual collections, virtual visits, and the use of social networks as learning spaces. This research shows that those museums which implement strategies related to their research, communication and educational functions, as well as the use of information and communication technologies, will b...

The present study aims to analyze the methodology of teaching the subject of Epistemology in a doctoral program in Education, using an educational method based on action research. It constitutes an exploratory research, of mixed approach, fundamentally qualitative with phenomenological and hermeneutic orientation, it is of an applicative level, quasi-experimental type, to the extent that a program based on the action-research methodology is applied, and on the other hand it is quantitative to the extent that a test that evaluates critical thinking at the beginning and at the end of the development of the subject was applied. It was tried to demonstrate that such methodological procedure favors the change of disposition towards critical thinking of doctoral students, since it develops more confidence in reason, demonstrating a mental amplitude and curiosity a...
