Las colecciones helmintológicas son depositarios de los especímenes tipo/muestras representativas y contribuyen al mantenimiento de la historia de la especie. En este estudio, se proporciona una reevaluación de la situación taxonómica de las especies de Lobatostoma (a priori) basado en especímenes depositados en la United States National Parasite Collection (USNPC). Nueve láminas (seis especies) con muestras teñidas de L. albulae Yamaguti, 1968; L. kemostoma (MacCallum & MacCallum, 1913); L. manteri Rohde, 1973; L. pacificum Manter, 1940; L. ringens (Linton, 1905); L. veranoi Oliva & Luque, 1989, incluyendo las fotos enviadas por USNPC, fueron analizadas. In the present study, the environmental risk (ERA) of alpha-cypermethrin and imidacloprid, individually and as a mixture, was evaluated on Eisenia fetida (Savigny, 1826). The mean lethal concentration (LC50) values for alpha-cypermethrin and imidacloprid individually were 341.1 mg·kg-1 and 2.34 mg·kg-1 at 14 d of exposure, respectively, being the most toxic imidacloprid. A reduction in dry and wet weight was observed in E. fetida, for both pesticides. The mixture did not show a significant dose-response relationship at LC50; However, the values of NOEC (concentration at which no effect is observed) and LOEC (lowest concentration at which effect is observed), corresponding to wet and dry weight, presented a significant relationship. The present study had the objective of determine the best treatment option of cyanide of barren solution (as known as poor solution) coming from the Process Plant of El Toro Mining Unit, in order to accomplish the quality established in the current environmental regulations. For this, the research was carried out using two treatment proposals: destruction with hydrogen peroxide and destruction with sodium metabisulfite. To conclude, sodium metabisulfite had a faster reaction and effective compared to hydrogen peroxide, obtaining the expected values below the Maximum Permissible Limits (current national laws such the Supreme Decret N°010-2010-MINAM) related to total cyanide. Galba truncatula snails were obtained from January to April 2011, from a sub urban biotope (Huayllapampa) district of San Jeronimo, Cusco, Peru, and considered hyperendemic. They were grown in an aquatic environment. They were experimentally infected (n= 215) with miracidia of Fasciola hepatica. The eggs were obtained from the gallbladder and bile ducts of three sheep with fasciolosis, screened and washed in boiled water cooled to incubate at a constant temperature of 26°C. The resulting collection of snails had an abundance of catch per unit effort of 150/h. Shells ranged between: 3.5 to 7.0 mm long, 2.2 to 3.6 mm in width. A survival 75.81%, of which 71.78% showed infection with F. hepatica was noted.

The effects of the implementation of a program based on the 5S methodology for the minimization of risks and accidents at work in an Electrical Services company (Lima - Peru) were evaluated. The study is of an applied type and of a pre-experimental design, the analysis unit covered 19 operational and administrative units of the company in question during the years 2022 and 2023. The data collection was carried out by the observation method, using checklists, records of inspections and accidents that were validated by the criteria of judges. The comparative analysis was carried out after verifying the normality of the data, determining the use of the Student's t test. This paper describes and proposes different engineering techniques for designing an intelligent system focused on environmental protection, based on stationary and mobile subsystems for monitoring physical variables. The variables selected for monitoring were water level, flow rate, pH, vibration, and surface water temperature, which are transmitted via radio frequency to an external monitoring center and a mobile unit. This system was designed using an optimized analysis of polynomial models to correlate each measured physical variable. La alteración hormonal generada por el tributil de estaño (TBT) en las hembras de los gasterópodos ocasiona esterilidad debido al fenómeno del imposex. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue caracterizar la variación anual del imposex en el caracol marino Thaisella chocolata (Muricidae) en siete localidades de la costa central del Perú. Se trabajó con una unidad de análisis de 1188 muestras de T. chocolata entre 2013 al 2016. La catalogación del imposex fue evaluada con base a los siguientes indicadores: imposex en las hembras (I%), el Índice relativo de longitud del pene (RPLI), el Índice del tamaño relativo del pene (RPSI) y el Índice de Secuencia del Vaso Deferente (VDSI). En esta investigación se estabilizaron los suelos finos procedentes de cortes para su uso en terraplenes del Proyecto Vía Evitamiento La Oroya - Junín. Para la ejecución de la investigación se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño experimental del tipo cuasiexperimental. Se realizaron las estabilizaciones siguiendo los parámetros de la Portland Cement Association (PCA), United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) y Especificaciones técnicas generales para construcción (EG-2013). The objective of this work was to describe the nesting behavior of the Andean hummingbird (Amazilia franciae Bourcier & Mulsant, 1846) and to classify the ecosystem services it provides in the peasant community of Yananyac, Huancavelica, Peru according to the evaluation of the Millennium Ecosystems of the United Nations. Monitoring of ten Andean hummingbird nests was carried out in the months of April and May 2021 in an agricultural area of the peasant community of Yananyac. The nests were located between bushes and fruit-bearing plants, at an average height of 1.84 m. The nests were made with a base of dry leaves, cobwebs, lichens, feathers, flower stamens and seeds; covered with fibers, built mainly with the scales and trichomes of ferns, with an average depth of 18.4 mm. The objective of this investigation was to identify the entomofauna of mosquitoes existing in Sancti Spíritus and Villa Clara provinces, Cuba. Fluvial ecosystems were sampled which constitute the resting, oviposition and breeding sites of mosquitoes; artificial recipients in disuse, records/passive files, and existing maps in the provincial units were used. The investigation covered a period of 16 years (1999-2014). A total of 34 species of mosquitoes (49.27%) from nine genera of Sancti Spíritus province were identified, while in Villa Clara, the number increased to 43 species (62.31%) from 15genera, all this, taking into consideration the 69 species of mosquitoes recorded for Cuba. The presence of the red swamp crayfish, Procambarus clarkii (Girard, 1852), a species native to the central and southern United States of America and northeastern Mexico, is reported in the Los Pantanos de Villa wetland, representing its first record in the continental waters of Peru. This species has a marked ecological plasticity, which gives it a strong invasive character that has made it one of the most widely distributed freshwater crabs in the world. El presente trabajo es de tipo descriptivo y transversal, tiene como objetivo evaluar y analizar la percepción, calidad desde una perspectiva parental en el servicio de neonatología en el Hospital Nacional Hipolito Unanue, en una muestra de 200 personas seleccionadas en forma aleatoria. Para tal efecto se utilizó el modelo SERVQUAL adaptado a salud. Los resultados indican que 70.2 por ciento de los usuarios percibieron insatisfacción leve - moderada, 1.6 por ciento insatisfacción severa y 27.7 por Ciento satisfacciones amplias. La mayor proporción de pacientes insatisfechos en 76.5%, se encontró en la dimensión de la confiabilidad, sin embargo, todas las dimensiones presentaron en promedio insatisfacción leve moderada. La presente tesis tuvo como objetivo principal determinar la incidencia de la educación intercultural bilingüe (EIB) en el logro de aprendizajes en el área de Comunicación en el segundo grado de primaria en las Instituciones Educativas rurales del distrito de Huaraz (Áncash, Perú). El nivel de incidencia de la EIB ha sido medido cuantitativamente a través de pruebas de expresión oral, comprensión lectora y producción de textos tanto en quechua como en castellano a fin de verificar los logros de aprendizaje. Los resultados reportan que los estudiantes que reciben sesiones de aprendizaje en quechua y castellano tienen mejor rendimiento escolar con relación a sus pares que reciben clases solo en castellano, pese a que en ambos casos las instituciones educativas son reconocidas como EIB.
