The relationship between law and neuroscience has led to great social concern in recent years. And this we call neurolaw and its implications in criminal cases has been shown in Italy where the law has been practiced.Despite some resistance in the reliability ofthese techniques in the field of courts in Italy, the same does not apply, for example, in America, where neurosciences have a significant influence on legal practice, to the extent that some jurists consider a new formulation of the current parameters of accountability, fraud and guilt as contemporary science would reveal how human behavior is actually the result of a biological determinism, rather than a freewill.

HIV infection affects all the systems of the human body producing a variety of clinical cases, therefore the aim of this review is to describe the main neuro-ophthalmological complications associated with HIV infection. In the afferent pathway, there are primary optic neuropathies due to direct damage from the virus, and secondary ones, caused by opportunistic infections, neoplasms, ischemia, and drugs, where the clinical presentation varies. On the other hand, within the complications of the efferent pathway are supranuclear defects (conjugate gaze disorders, saccadic dysfunction and soft eye tracking) and cranial nerves III, IV and VI palsies. The damage is mediated by HIV itself or by associated conditions and can occur at any time during the disease. All patients with HIV should undergo periodic ophthalmological evaluations in order to detect these anomalies in a timely manner and mi...

The purpose of the research was to demonstrate the positive influence of the neurolinguistic programming proposal in the potential improvement of the voluntary attention of schoolchildren in public institutions in the urban area of Buenaventura, Colombia. The methodology of this work is hypothetical deductive with an explanatory research level, the design in the study was experimental, with a quasi-experimental sub-design, longitudinal cut, where an evaluation pre-test was applied at the beginning of the academic cycle and a Post-test at the end, to two study groups divided as a control group and an experimental group, the strategy consisted of applying the neurolinguistic programming proposal to the experimental group to evaluate its effect and compare it with the control group. It was shown that there is a positive influence of the neurolinguistic programming proposal linked to l...

Neuropsychological Scanning scale of Personality, prepared by C. Sarria, V. Llaja, P. García, M. Salazar, G. Salazar (2009) is a recent unpublished instrument designed to examine the structural components of the Personality System in university students, based on the theoretical model Informational (Ortiz, 1994, 1997, 2004a, 2004b). Through the study reported in this paper, we obtained evidence indicating that this instrument has content validity and construct and showed a high rate of reliability in terms of both: its internal consistency and factorial analysis on all items. Finally, qualitative analysis was performed neuropsychological so it can be used later in the neuropsychological examination of clinical samples, and educational.

Neurotechnologies allow the direct connection of the human brain with a computer thanks to an interface, for example, of artificial intelligence. One of the results of this reality and technological future is the cognitive enhancement that creates superhumans with brains and minds far superior to those of normal people. The ethical commitment at stake led the BRAIN initiative to promote the recognition of “new” human rights called “neuro-rights”. A superhuman-judge transfers these ethical problems to the evidentiary realm. In this paper, it is established that solving these future problems is not a matter of new (neuro)rights, but of procedural (neuro)guarantees of old rights (action and contradiction). A clear example of this is the cleanliness, naturalness, normality and cerebral and mental intangibility of the judge for the evidential activity as the content of the “old” fu...

This paper discusses the current challenges posed by the recent developments and impacts of neurosciences and neurotechnologies for the protection of human rights, as well as the risks that in particular may affect the freedom, thought and physical integrity of the human person, expanding into a new frontier, an area previously little known to the legal world. To this end, this article first addresses the background and progress in the progressive development of an international regime on Human Rights and Neurosciences / Neurotechnologies, expressed in the adoption of various soft law instruments at the universal and regional levels. Then, it describes some elements of the regional discussion that has been advancing in the construction of inter-American principles on the subject, in the light of the rights established in the American Convention on Human Rights, and finally the text ...
