Previous investigations on ionospheric responses to solar flares focused mainly on the photoionization caused by the increased X‐rays and extreme ultraviolet irradiance. However, little attention was paid to the related electrodynamics. In this letter, we explored the equatorial electric field (EEF) and electrojet (EEJ) in the ionosphere at Jicamarca during flares from 1998 to 2008. It is verified that solar flares increase dayside eastward EEJ but decrease dayside eastward EEF, revealing a negative correlation between EEJ and EEF. The decreased EEF weakens the equatorial fountain effect and depresses the low‐latitude electron density. During flares, the enhancement in the Cowling conductivity may modulate ionospheric dynamo and decrease the EEF. Recent studies based on the satellite observations demonstrated that the equatorial vertical plasma drift can also enhance near sunrise in a way similar to the prereversal enhancement. However, it is not clear whether the signature of this sunrise enhancement appears in observations with other sounding techniques. In this work, we explore the Jicamarca (12°S, 283.2°E) incoherent scatter radar measurements to present the evidence of sunrise enhancement in vertical plasma drift on 12 May and 10 June 2004, which are under magnetically quiet and solar minimum conditions. In our country, glycemic monitoring in diabetics is almost entirely limited to digital puncture. In developed countries, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices have been used, which allow glucose fluctuations to be evaluated throughout the day. Objective: To describe the glucometric findings of patients receiving CGM, as well as the changes it induced in the management of diabetes. Material and Methods:A retrospective study was conducted of 28 patients (9 pediatric and 19 adult) treated in three endocrinology clinics, diagnosed with type 1 or 2 diabetes mellitus (DM), who used real-time or retrospective CGM devices.The variables studied were those reported by the sensors, such as average glucose, times in ranges, daily readings recorded. Objective: We aim to provide early evidence of mental distress and its associated predictors among adults one month into the COVID-19 crisis in Brazil. Methods: We conducted an online survey of 638 adults in Brazil on March 25–28, 2020, about one month (32 days) cross-sectionally after the first COVID-19 case in South America was confirmed in São Paulo. The 638 adults were in 25 states out of the 26 Brazilian states, with the only exception being Roraima, the least populated state in the Amazon. Of all the participating adults, 24%, 20%, and 18% of them were located in Rio de Janeiro state, Santa Catarina state, and São Paulo state respectively. Results: In Brazil, 52% (332) of the sampled adults experienced mild or moderate distress, and 18.8% (120) suffered severe distress. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de actividad física global de los pacientes con factores de riesgo cardiovascular,mediante el cuestionario IPAQ. Material y métodos: Estudio tipo serie de casos. La población estuvo compuestapor pacientes con hipertensión arterial, obesidad y diabetes mellitus entre 35 y 69 años de edad. Se utilizó el IPAQpara medir el nivel de actividad física. Resultados: De 180 entrevistados, 122 (67,8%) fueron del sexo femenino. Laedad media fue 56,9 ± 8,8 años, el IMC promedio fue 29,0 ± 5,2 (18,6 – 48,5). This article aims to analyze the political conduct of the Peruvian Chinese during the Pacific War. We will delve into the process of incorporating a Chinese unit into the Chilean army as an auxiliary force and its oath on the eve of the battles for the Peruvian capital in January 1881. The sources consist of eyewitness accounts of the ceremony, all of whom were Westerners: Chilean officers, journalists, and some European military observers. Early accounts of the Pacific War from Chilean and Peruvian authors, specifically Vicuña Mackenna and Paz Soldán, respectively, will also be utilized. Finally, we will analyze 19th-century Chinese newspapers containing letters from the coolies discussing their situation in Peru and the war with Chile. Objetivos Evaluar los cambios agudos en la saturación nocturna durante el sueño, respiración periódica y síntomas de Mal de Montaña Agudo (MMA) en viajeros sanos a la altura. Métodos Se hicieron medidas de poligrafía nocturna en 10 sujetos por 5 noches consecutivas en altura y 2 noches antes y después (2761msnm). Se analizaron los perfiles de saturación nocturna con medidas continuas de saturación de la oxihemoglobina (SpO2) durante el sueño, la severidad de apnea fue representada por el Índice de Apnea-Hipopnea (IAH). El presente estudio tiene como objetivo general diseñar la infraestructura vial para mejorar la transitabilidad vehicular Puente Mayta a Mariscal Castilla (Km 0+000, Km 11+028), Chepén. La investigación es de tipo descriptiva, no experimental, la población y la muestra está constituida por la longitud de la carretera 11+028 km de la vía ya que se recolectará los datos en todo el tramo de estudio.
