The development of intellectual capital at the macro- and mesoscale is the main tool for the transition of the economy to a progressive sixth technological mode, and at the level of an individual organization it ensures its stable position and high competitiveness in the market. However, training and educating its applications are of a great importance. A prerequisite for an effective implementation of this process is the formation of a systemic idea about the phenomenon of intellectual capital, the composition of its elements, the sequence of stages and the necessary conditions for its formation. To solve this problem, the article proposes to use a categorical-system methodology, in particular, the method of “categorical series”. Los filtros medianos son una técnica digital no lineal normalmente usada para remover ruido blanco, ’sal y pimienta’ de imágenes digitales. Consiste en reemplazar el valor de cada pixel por la mediana de los valores circundantes. Las implementaciones en punto flotante usan ordenamientos con técnicas de comparación para encontrar la mediana. Un método trivial de ordenar n elementos tiene una complejidad de O(n2), y los ordenamientos más rápidos tienen complejidad de O(n log n) al calcular la mediana de n elementos. Cervical cancer is one of the main causes of death by disease worldwide. In Peru, it holds the first place in frequency and represents 8% of deaths caused by sickness. To detect the disease in the early stages, one of the most used screening tests is the cervix Papanicolaou test. Currently, digital images are increasingly being used to improve Pap test efficiency. This work develops an algorithm based on adaptive thresholds, which will be used in Pap smear assisted quality control software. The first stage of the method is a pre-processing step, in which noise and background removal is done. Next, a block is segmented for each one of the points selected as not background, and a local threshold per block is calculated to search for cell nuclei. We extend the class of M-tests for a unit root analyzed by Perron and Ng (1996) and Ng and Perron (1997) to the case where a change in the trend function is allowed to occur at an unknown time. These tests M(GLS) adopt the GLS detrending approach of Dufour and King (1991) and Elliott, Rothenberg and Stock (1996) (ERS). Following Perron (1989), we consider two models: one allowing for a change in slope and the other for both a change in intercept and slope. We derive the asymptotic distribution of the tests as well as that of the feasible point optimal tests PT(GLS) suggested by ERS. The asymptotic critical values of the tests aretabulated. Also, we compute the non-centrality parameter used for the local GLS detrending that permits the tests to have 50% asymptotic power at that value. The aim of the study is to find the shape of arch anteroinferior in normal natural occlusions and relate this finding with the Interlandi’s method of selection of the mandibular anterior arch. The sample was 9 study models of the lower arch (5 males and 4 females between 13-17 years) in normooclusion, with mild crowding, no facet of wear, without coronary fracture, no decay or restorations and without some kind of tooth abnormality in shape, size and number. It was the digitizing of models (with points of reference on cusp of canines, interincisor point and canine distal face) with a graph paper (for the calibration software Corel Draw x 5), with same conditions (brightness, contrast, extension 100) and saved in jpg format. However, losses are recorded in the mechanical harvesting of soybeans, a fundamental stage in the production process of field crops. The current trend in the teaching of veterinary pathology is to promote the participation of students in their learning process and more autonomous work in practical activities. The traditional practice of neoplasm analysis involves macroscopic analysis of formalin-fixed biopsies and histopathological analysis. The objective of this study was to evaluate two tissue inclusion techniques with EPO-100 epoxy resin, material of low cost and easily accessible. The biopsies were obtained from tumours of dogs and cats in veterinary clinics in Temuco, Chile. Samples were processed with or without dehydration in ethanol and acetone before inclusion. The purpose of this paper is to optimiza the operation of an upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) reactor. In this kind of processes, besides to maximiza organic matter removal, it is attractive to capture the biogas and to use it to provide energy services. For this purpose, the biogas has to be produced in large quantities. Thus, we have two clear objectives to be achieved: to maximiza both the organic matter removal and the biogas production.
