A neural network is a mathematical model that is able to perform a task automatically or semi-automatically after learning the human knowledge that we provided. Moreover, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is a type of sophisticated neural network that has shown to efficiently learn tasks related to the area of image analysis (among other areas). One example of these tasks is image segmentation, which aims to find regions or separable objects within an image. A more specific type of segmentation called semantic segmentation, makes sure that each region has a semantic meaning by giving it a label or class. This work presents a sensor-based fluid pipeline leak detection system using an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). The implemented model consists of multiple flow sensors and pressure differentials, processed through a hybrid neural network and fuzzy logic hybrid system. The network comprises five layers, with layer 1 being in charge of performing the membership function and layer 5 being part of the calculation of the exit rule. The system aims to detect and prevent fluid leakage in fluid passages by identifying changes in fluid flow and pressure differential. The results demonstrate that the ANFIS system can accurately detect leaks in the ducts, reaching 93.24 % of accuracy, indicating the percentage of correct predictions in the training set. An accurate land-cover segmentation of very-high-resolution aerial images is essential for a wide range of applications, including urban planning and natural resource management. However, the automation of this process remains a challenge owing to the complexity of images, variability in land surface features, and noise. In this study, a method for training convolutional neural networks and transformers to perform land-cover segmentation on very-high-resolution aerial images in a regional context was proposed. Around a third of food is lost and wasted in the world each year, while close to 650 million people suffered from malnutrition before the pandemic. In Peru, 12.8 million tons of food end up being wasted every year. For that reason the food banks appeared, whose purpose is to deliver food to people in need thanks to the recovery of groceries that were going to be lost or wasted. The present research describes the operation of the Food Bank of Peru in its process of recovery and delivery food. Among the results found, the efficiency in the delivery of food stands out, thus saving resources, thanks to the application of cross docking, which allows to the organization to carry out their functions without the need of an own warehouse.

The aim of this research was to determine the content of total phenolic compounds (CFT), flavonoids (F), betalamic pigments (PB) and antioxidant capacity of quinoa grains (Chenopodium quinoa W.), after washing, drying and cooking process. Two varieties of quinoa (Pasankalla and Black Collana) were evaluated, which were provided by the Regional Department of Agriculture of Cajamarca, Peru. The initial content of CFT, F and PB was higher in the Black Collana variety than in the Pasankalla variety and the behavior was similar after all the processing stages, with the exception of the antioxidant capacity, which increased after drying and cooking process. This approach is distinguished by the adoption of a novel hyperbolic tangent function, which effectively limits the rate of change values, offering a significant improvement over traditional sigmoid function-based methods. One of main factors identified as explaining forest loss and degradation in the Selva (the Peruvian Amazon) is the migration of people from the Sierra (Andes highlands), where agricultural conditions are severe, to forest areas in the Selva in search of new land. This paper aims at clarifying the characteristics and process of migration based on interviews with local people near Pucallpa, Ucayali Department, where forest loss and degradation has advanced in recent decades. In the study area, forest loss and degradation progressed by commercial logging after construction of a road connecting between Lima and Pucallpa in 1943. El presente trabajo de investigación, tuvo como objetivo desarrollar una propuesta de mejora de la eficiencia de producción de queso fresco en una empresa de lácteos en Perú, utilizando herramientas de Lean Manufacturing. La empresa en estudio, presenta una eficiencia del 61%, mientras que la eficiencia a nivel Latinoamérica es del 95% y la eficiencia de otras empresas del sector en el Perú es del 70%. La baja eficiencia se debe a tres motivos, las cuales son: productos defectuosos con una representación del 56.7%, tiempos improductivos con 34.9 % y falla funcional de bomba centrifuga con un 8.3%.
