The principle of exhaustion of rights is one of the most discussed matters in intellectual property law, forming part of a debate that has not culminated in a global agreement. However, its application is present in all countries and the evaluation of its scope has deserved the attention of the doctrine and the courts of justice of the world. This work focuses on the field of trademarks and tries to show a gene ral perspective on the exhaustion of the right in its presence in international trade, through parallel imports. Likewise, it includes some of the economic reasons that support the existence or restriction of parallel imports, as well as an analysis of their regulation in international trade law.

ABSTRACT This research explored evidences of internal structure and convergent validity as well as reliability of a Spanish version of the Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised (ECR-R) in Peruvian college students. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were carried out sequentially in two randomly assigned sub-groups (n = 289, n = 301). Horn’s parallel analysis and exploratory factor analysis performed with the first subgroup found a structure of three factors (anxiety, avoidance directly measured and avoidance inversely measured). Then, confirmatory factor analysis carried out with the second sub-group replicated a three-factor model with acceptable adjustment indices. This paper evaluates the role that the external sector plays in the US and Mexican economic structures in the perspective of the integration process as found about the time the North American Free Trade Agreement was signed. Thus the paper pursues finding indicators for the integration levels between these two economies in the 1990's. The method of analysis relies upon the Input-Output model. Results suggest that those economies maintain an asymmetric relationship concerning the nature of their bilateral trade, e.g., the weight of that exchange in the total foreign trade is quite different. Nevertheless, these economies show striking structural similarities, which explain the parallel role that trade plays in each country, despite the obvious differences in the importance of the external sector in each economic structure.

In the Mexican food industry, the presence of large companies or family economic groups in various branches is identified. In this research, the development of the Bimbo Family Group is particularized, which, parallel to its growth in the national market, began its internationalization process in 1984, prior to the establishment of the trade liberalization policy. La variabilidad de las precipitaciones en la cuenca amazónica (CA) es analizada para el período 1964-2003. Este análisis está basado en 756 estaciones pluviométricas distribuidas en todos los países de la cuenca incluyendo datos de Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador y Colombia. En particular, la reciente disponibilidad de datos de precipitación de los países andinos hace posible completar estudios anteriores. Se subraya el impacto de la cordillera de los Andes sobre las lluvias. La mayor precipitación en la CA es observada en regiones bajas expuestas a los vientos húmedos del este, y menor lluvia es registrada en las estaciones de altura y protegidas por las primeras montañas de los Andes de los vientos húmedos del este.
