Mexico is one of the leading citrus producers worldwide. This work presents an analysis for improving the citrus waxing process in a company dedicated to this activity, located in the town of Álamo, Temapache, in the northern part of the state of Veracruz, Mexico. This study used the ten approaches to operations analysis to find areas of opportunity where the company could improve; the implementation of lean manufacturing tools such as 5s, Kaizen, and autonomous maintenance was suggested to optimize the waxing process. As a result of this analysis, an improvement proposal was developed regarding simplifying operating procedures, improving the handling of materials, and optimal use of equipment, allowing the company to be more efficient and productive.

The use of recovery paper and cardboard as a raw material for the manufacture of recycled paper and cardboard, presents numerous environmental and economic advantages. However, it also has serious drawbacks due to the amount of contaminants that are introduced into the system. Contaminants that are in the form of dissolved and colloidal matter cannot be eliminated by conventional mechanical processes and when destabilized, by a sudden change in the conditions of the system, are directly responsible for the formation of spots and holes in the final product. The present investigation is the result of the study of the bioactive compounds present in the aguaymanto (Physalis peruviana) from the valley of Mantaro-Peru and its canned in syrup. In Stage I were determined the bioactive compounds in the raw material, correspondents to maturity‟s condition 2 and 3 as [1] was of 28,55 mg of ascorbic acid /100 g; 1,77 mg of β-caroten/100g; 79,23 mg clorogenic acid /100 g and antioxidant capacity its divides in hidrofílic (288,95 µg eq trolox/g) and lipofílic (297,51µg eq trolox/g), measured by the ABTS method and of 249,23 µg eq trolox/g measured by the method of the DPPH. El presente trabajo de investigación se desarrolló en los distritos de San Juan, Punchana e Iquitos. El objetivo del estudio fue realizar un diagnóstico de las empresas dedicadas al servicio de lavado de vehículos, sobre el uso de agua e impactos al ambiente. Según las empresas encuestadas en su mayoría el tipo de fuente utilizada para el proceso de lavado proviene de las aguas subterráneas con un total del 90,5% del total de empresas, seguida del 7,1% representada por la red pública de agua, se evidencia de esta forma que la fácil obtención del agua subterránea y el no cobro por su uso, hace que las empresas decidan usarla para el servicio de lavado. La presente investigación tiene la finalidad de evaluar los impactos ambientales generados por la producción de joyería en un taller artesanal de Chosica mediante la metodología de análisis de ciclo de vida ambiental; para eso se establecieron los siguientes objetivos: I) Identificar los procesos que generan mayores impactos ambientales durante el ciclo de vida de la fabricación de joyería convencional; II) evaluar los impactos ambientales durante el proceso de manufactura de joyería mediante los escenarios de producción mediante el método de "cera perdida" y la joyería hecha a mano; y III) proponer mejoras en el desempeño ambiental en la producción de joyería. La utilización de papel y cartón de recuperación como materia prima para la fabricación de papel y cartón reciclado, presenta numerosas ventajas al medio ambiental y económico. Sin embargo, también tiene graves inconvenientes debido a la cantidad de contaminantes que se introducen en el sistema. ABSTRACT This work evaluated the influence of the concentration of NaOH (100, 200 and 300 g/L NaOH) in the mercerization process at 25 °C for 1 h, and of the percentage (15, 20 and 25% m/m) of Mauritia flexuosa fibers on impact resistance in a polyester matrix composite. The polyester matrix composite was obtained by the compression molding process, at a constant pressure of 24 MPa. The obtained plates had a dimension of 130 mm long x 80 mm wide x 3.4 mm thick. Specimens for the impact assay were extracted from the obtained plates under the EN ISO 179-1 standard. Objective: To evaluate, in vitro, the marginal and internal adaptation of Co- Cr metal copings made on a chamfer termination line with the CPCI and SLM technique in CAD / CAM with clinical scanning. Anadara tuberculosa (Sowerby, 1833) es el molusco bivalvo de mayor importancia comercial en Tumbes, lugar en el que se ubican los únicos bancos naturales del recurso en el Perú y están íntimamente relacionados al ecosistema de manglar; por lo que existe la necesidad de contar con una escala de madurez que identifique con veracidad las diferentes fases del desarrollo gonadal del recurso.
