In the context of the pandemic, face recognition became important as a non-physical contact verification method. Thus, this research evaluated the accuracy of pre-trained models (VGG-16, RESNET-50, Vision Transformer, Swin Transformer) for identity verification, facing the challenge of mask occlusion. The results revealed that the transformer models outperformed the CNNs in accuracy. This work contributes significantly by exploring two types of architectures and creating a public dataset, enriching computer vision research for face recognition with mask occlusion.

Digital transformation is driven by new digital technologies, which are strongly impacting value chains, forms of organization and production, distribution channels, business models and the way in which innovation is carried out in companies and their allies. For this reason, it is important to understand the phenomenon, size it and develop organizational design proposals that facilitate managing it appropriately. Considering the above, this article aims to identify the relationship between digital transformation and innovation in companies, to determine how capabilities can be developed that allow reinforcing innovation processes. To this end, a model is proposed that correlates the management of digital technology and innovation with digital transformation, in such a way that there is a reference framework, guidelines and tools for its organizational deployment.

Face recognition has become relevant in the search for non-physical contact solutions in enclosed spaces for identity verification in the context of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. One of the challenges of face recognition is mask occlusion which hides more than 50 % of the face. This research evaluated four models pre-trained by transfer learning: VGG-16, RESNET-50, Vision Transformer (ViT), and Swin Transformer, trained on their upper layers with a proprietary dataset. The analysis obtained an accuracy of 24 % (RESNET-50), 25 % (VGG-16), 96 % (ViT), and 91 % (Swin) with unmasked subjects. The aim of this paper is to analyze and systematize subjective change in education based on a review of the main contributions derived from national and international studies on subjective theories (ST) conducted to date in the field of education. An overview of the research on ST in education is presented. Findings are then analyzed and systematized in a model of ST change in educational contexts that considers: (a) a paradigmatic framework, (b) a change process, (c) change factors, and (e) change indicators. In the conclusion section, a summary of the process of ST change in educational contexts is proposed, based on empiric studies reviewed and testable in future research, and the limitations that must be overcome in order to make strides in the construction of a theory of ST change in education are discussed.

Computed tomography (CT) is a breakthrough technology used in medicine for diagnostic diseases. The present article critically examines how rurality has transformed in the context of globalization, and its effects on rural youth in Ecuador, based on an intertemporal analysis of the National Survey of Employment, Unemployment and Underemployment, as well as relevant case studies that directly or indirectly focus on youth. The article aims to provide a conceptual framework for understanding rural youth that goes beyond narrow definitions based solely on age and challenges urban-centric, homogenizing, and adult-centered notions. Accordingly, drawing on theoretical perspectives on territorial development, the article identifies three major challenges that rural youth pose for rural territorial development.
