Objetive: To describe the characteristics and timing of the process of care for patients treated at the outpatient area during 2014 in the Hospital Base Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 379 new patients in outpatient services. The web application System of Referral and Counter-referrals and the Hospital Management System were used to obtain the sample and data. La problemática observada en el almacén de una empresa de autopartes son los altos tiempos en el proceso de preparación de pedidos debido a la falta de herramientas de mejora continua en el proceso mismo. El objetivo de esta investigación es proponer un modelo de gestión del proceso de picking para reducir los tiempos en la atención de pedidos mediante la herramienta 5´S. Para ello, se realizó un estudio empírico con alcance cuasi experimental y post positivista, bajo la modalidad de estudio de caso. Se evidenció la diferencia en el tiempo de preparación dependiendo del tipo de trabajador en el almacén, y mediante la aplicación de las 5´S y estandarización de trabajo se logró una reducción significativa en el tiempo de picking del 41,37% en el caso de los nuevos operadores, del 32,80% para un operador estándar y del 11,82% para los operadores experimentados.

The present work aims to improve the lead time and productivity in the pizza assembly process of a medium-sized company. To this end, lean manufacturing tools were used for implementing a work method that eliminates wastes or activities that add no value to the process. The results showed a reduction in the process lead time by 99% and an increase in the productivity of up to 20% compared to the initial situation. It was concluded that the tools used in the research, such as the line balancing graph, 5S or cellular manufacturing, allowed the elimination of wastes found during the process.

The purpose of this investigation is to conduct an analysis of the influence of information technologies (ICTs) and production processes in organizations in the industrial sector in the state of Tamaulipas during times of COVID-19. The study evaluated the municipalities of Tampico, Altamira and Reynosa. The research instrument was applied to managers and directors of different organizations, producing a total of 45 interviews and employing the partial least squares (PLS) regression technique for data analysis. The Omega McDonald index and Dillon-Goldstein’s RHO were employed to assess the instrument’s confidence level. The results indicate that the intervention new information technologies (ICTs) as tools for innovation and competitiveness in the labor market contributed as much as nearly 84 %.
