El estudio se orientó a comprender el proceso de la Terapia Existencial de Artes Expresivas, explorando a partir de un análisis documental temas como la imaginación, la experiencia, las modalidades de expresión, la experimentación pobre, todo lo anterior, desde una mirada fenomenológico-existencial, centrada en lograr acompañar al consultante a explorar y comprender la existencia como un continuo y complejo misterio relacional, que requiere ser reflexionado constantemente, para asumir la vida con apropiación y responsabilidad.

This paper considers the proposal, development and numerical simulation of a system that models the behavior of the treatment of HIV-1 using antiretrovirals. The system defined for three dependent variables of the variable t, denoted by X(t)=(x1 (t), x2 (t), x3 (t)) represent the amount of T Lymphocytes "Helpers" (CD4), number of Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes (CD8) Viral load and infection process of HIV-1 at any time t, respectively. Sepsis is considered a public health problem because severe infections still are a major cause of death worldwide. Within the comprehensive management of the patient with severe sepsis or septic shock, the early administration of an appropriate antimicrobial regimen is one of the key strategies for survival and for reducing morbidity and mortality. In this review, we describe the antimicrobial therapy for the following conditions: severe pneumonia, urosepsis, intra-abdominal infections, serious skin and soft tissue infections, bacterial meningitis, fungal sepsis, venous catheter-related infections, and sepsis of undetermined origin. The article presented here is the result of an anthropological approach to urban populations belonging to the middle and marginalized sectors in eight Mexican states, which we carried out for the Secretary of Health in 1994. Disinfection is achieved through procedures such as instrumentation, irrigation, and intra-canal medication; however, these are not enough since several studies have reported E. faecalis as one of the most prevalent persistent microorganisms in root canal treatments that have not achieved healing of the periapical tissues. Efforts have been made to improve disinfection protocols by including different technological tools, as in the case of photodynamic therapy, which uses a light source and photosensitizing substances that favor the process of elimination of the remaining bacteria within the root canal system. The present review of scientific literature delves into the clinical importance of photodynamic therapy and its effect on the disinfection and inhibition of E. faecalis within the root canal system, which has become a key element for the success of endodontic treatment.

Abstract Objectives: To determine correlation between hormone therapy and endometrial mucosa estrogen, progesterone receptors and endometrial histological pathology in postmenopausal women. Material and Methods: Forty postmenopausal women between 43 and 60 years old with climacteric syndrome received oral continuous 2 mg of 17 beta estradiol and 1 mg of noresthisterone acetate. Basal and 8 months post treatment edo metrial biopsies were processed for histopathologic and immune histochemical studies for estrogen and progesterone receptors. Results: Physiologic menopause occurred between 42 and 52 years old, average 46,4 years. Main climacteric symptoms on first consultation were arthralgia 90%, emotional lability 82,5%, dysparenta 75%, hot flashes 27,5% and relative urine incontinence 17,5%. CO2 is one of the basic components in the homeostasis of human body and is a result of cellular metabolism. Burns caused by an electric shock from lightning are an uncommon injury and can be very debilitating for the individual. This case describes a patient with an electric burn resulting from a lightning strike, whose physiotherapeutic evaluation and intervention were based on the guidelines provided by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), considering the four domains (cardiovascular/pulmonary, neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and integumentary), to help achieve maximum functional independence. The physiotherapeutic rehabilitation process included 15 intervention sessions, during which the patient showed functional recovery in daily activities and an improved quality of life.

In radiotherapy, it is essential to have an alternative dosimetric system to identify possible errors at some stage of the process. The optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technology represents a great advance in the detection of radiation in different areas, one of them being in the area of clinical dosimetry. Objective: To implement an alternative dosimetric system, based on OSL technology of carbon-doped aluminum oxide crystals.
