In manufacturing processes, there are conditions that continually impact decision-making among when choosing among alternatives; the selection is usually influenced by critical aspects such as quality, productivity, costs and customer feedback, among others. This article analyzes different adhesives for the process of gluing parts for sports shoes in a company located in the city of Purisima del Rincon in Guanajuato, México. The analysis employs statistical engineering tools and an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology. The case studied deals with an issue with gluing parts. The glue currently employed is of good quality but has drawbacks such as its high cost and thickness, which leads to a time-consuming manual application, affecting productivity. The same occurs with correlated and uncorrelated quality variables. In this research work, a CPME multivariate capability index was developed by initially using a univariate index—depending on whether the data was o not normal—and any correlation between variables, and then through a characteristic function for the multivariate data. This index may be used in all the aforementioned cases. Some examples of this alternative are presented on a set of real and simulated data, where a broad performance of our proposed index was found against other similar capability indices.

Prediction of the river flow, irradiance and wind velocity is a challenge for all the countries to improve the natural resources, the uses of the satellite and meteorological data allow to improve the statistical processing, in this research article a new methodology is proposed for the river flow forecasting in Lima, it is associated to the Transandean tunnel with the watershed of the Atlantic and Pacific ocean. with the basins of Tamboraque, Sheque and Tulumayo. The purpose of the study is to measure the adjustment of an explanatory model of student performance in the subject of General Statistics at the La Molina National Agrarian University (UNALM) through the statistical technique of Structural Equation Models. The proposed model considers four factors: student performance, teacher performance, personal perception, and past performance. Two assessment instruments are applied in the study, first to measure personal perception, and the second, is to measure teacher performance. Cronbach's Alpha Reliability Coefficient is used to verify the reliability requirement and the Confirmatory Factor Analysis to verify the validity requirement of the assessment instruments. El objetivo del presente estudio consistió en validar la Escala de Percepción Global de Estrés en una muestra peruana de universitarios de un programa nacional de becas. El proceso de adaptación consideró la doble traducción a partir de la versión original, la comparación lingüística con la adaptación chilena y mexicana, así como la revisión por jueces. Asimismo, se aplicó una prueba piloto. Los participantes fueron 332 becarios universitarios. Los resultados del Análisis Factorial Confirmatorio confirmaron el modelo bifactorial de la EPGE-13. Asimismo, se obtuvieron evidencias de validez divergente y convergente utilizando el SPANAS.
