This research was carried out at the Faculty of Economic, Statistical and Social Sciences Engineering (FIEECS) of the National University of Engineering (UNI), it was established as a general objective: to identify the perception of the educational actors of the FIEECS UNI regarding 4 dimensions of university social responsibility: Responsible campus, Professional and citizen training, Social knowledge management and Social participation. The research was based on the theoretical model of University Social Responsibility (Vallaeys, de la Cruz, & Sasia, 2009). The University Social Responsibility (RSU) instruments with Likert type scaling were applied. It is concluded that in the Responsible Campus dimension, students, teachers and administrators distin-guish negative elements in the indicators of environment, transparency and democracy, communication and marketing. In relation to pro...

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the educational and demographic factors related to the head of household and poverty, and to try to explain the probability of being poor. After an evaluation of cross-tabulations between poverty and literacy, as well as labor, demographic and educational variables, a logit model was applied to evaluate the probability of an individual falling into poverty as a function of household characteristics and the educational levels of the head of household. Finally, the importance of education was evaluated in a more complete frame of reference; according to the conclusions, it is more important to consider all the individuals that make up the household, rather than only the head of household.

Within the framework of the research activities promoted by IECOS, this project was carried out in 2015 and we present a summary of the results achieved. For the selection of FIEECS graduates, a non-probabilistic sampling of intentionality or opinionated sampling was used (because the FIEECS does not have a complete record of the graduates currently working). The technique used was the survey. For the analysis of the data obtained, statistics such as frequency distribution, graphs and Chi-square test were used.

When assessing organizational quality in a university, an important aspect is to evaluate user satisfaction. Since students are the main users of universities, the ability to evaluate the quality of the educational services they provide is very important. The general objective of this research was to determine if there is a relationship between the level of satisfaction of the students of the Faculty of Economic Engineering, Statistics and Social Sciences of the National University of Engineering and the level of importance they give to the services and products they receive. For this purpose, use was made of the SATEST scale, developed by Bullón (2007) and modified by Watson (2013), which made it possible to know the characteristics of satisfaction in these students. The eight areas resulting from the scale reflect the diversity of factors that influence student satisfaction, and affir...

The objective of this research was to analyze the impact of public investment spending on the reduction of monetary poverty in Peru for the period 2000-2018, the research is descriptive and explanatory, of correlational design, of longitudinal cut, to quantify the Effects of public investment on poverty, secondary information was used from sources such as the time series of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru and statistics from the Project Bank of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics, the results indicate that public investment spending and poverty levels have an inverse relationship both at the total level and at the level of the sectors that make up the executed public investment, it is concluded that the management of public investment managed to reduce monetary poverty in Peru throughout the study period, being only investment in ...

This article aims to offer a theoretical reflection on the scope of public opinion polls. Although it is evident that its widespread use derives from its instrumental nature, little has been explored in our environment about the political nature that underlies the use of this mechanism.

This research exposes the urgent need to become aware of the magnitude and importance of non-sampling errors in household opinion polls, especially the NON-RESPONSE ERROR, which threatens to invalidate or bias the results of any research in one direction.

This text is a fragment of the work "Education and labor income in Peru", carried out by the authors with financing from the IECOS 2007 Competitive Fund. This section explains the Human Capital Theory according to which education is an investment to increase productive capacity. This theory makes it possible to use accessible empirical sources and calculate the real impact of education on income. The econometric estimates are made for the country as a whole and for three segments: area, sex and type of work. In a second section, there is an account of the studies carried out in Peru on education and the labor market.

The present investigation makes an approximation to the expenditures in health and catastrophic expenditure, constructing six models of catastrophic calculation, where the variants are the types of food expenditure described by the national survey of households ENAHO 2017. In all the models the variables age and sex of the head of household were not significant. On the other hand, it was found that the presence of children under 5 years of age, the presence of people over 65 years of age and having chronic diseases have a significant and positive influence on catastrophic spending. Finally, the probability of incurring a catastrophic expense is when you have families with expenses higher than 20% of their available expenses.

The main objective of this research is to analyze the educational, de-mographic, geographic, labor market, housing, income and wealth factors related to the head of household and poverty through a logit model, trying to explain the probability of being monetary poor. For this, the data collected by the 2016 National Household Survey conducted by INEI was analyzed. Through the first logit model, it is found that education -due to its effects on productivity and income generation- is a key instrument in the policy of overcoming poverty, since the higher the level achieved in their studies, the greater the reductions in the probability of being poor; in particular, it is found that concluding university means reducing the probability of being poor by 14.1 percentage points, with respect to an individual who concludes secondary school, while concluding a technical career means reducing the p...

A complex sample design is developed to estimate the radio audience rating through a Panel Survey applied five times a year. The purpose of this design is the inclusion of segmentation variables such as sex, age, and family category, which gives rise to a two-stage cluster sampling and different stratification variables. In the first stage, clusters of equal size of 150 dwellings each will be selected via stratified sampling; in the second stage, two dwellings will be selected for each cluster through simple random sampling.
