The purpose of the present article is to make a critical analysis to the dominant classic epidemiological positionthat explains health-disease duality from genetics and lifestyles. The importance of recognizing the scope of social theory for the rigorous study of social movements and conflicts from various theoretical perspectives is addressed. This scope is classified into three levels: i) general theories, ii) intermediate scope theories; and, iii) substantive theories. General theories offer broad and abstract theoretical frameworks to understand social phenomena as a whole, such as Marxism and its variants, functionalism, structural-functionalism, systems theory and deconstructivism. Middle-range theories focus on specific areas of study and provide an intermediate level of abstraction, such as social capital theory or social exchange theory. The article reviews the problem of digital competences from the digital constructivist learning approach for digital empowerment from formative education of the dimensions: (a) personal, (b) ethical, (c) professional, as opposed to the structuralist definition or functionalist of the connectivist approach, which prioritizes the professional and functional dimension of the competences in the use of information and communication technologies. Digital competences are established as the skills to achieve integration, accessibility, employability and equity of digital communities, valued in the context of the current pandemic and in virtual education, doors of a future of sustainable health and citizenship.

The present research study sought to establish the epistemological perspective of mathematics as the basis of science. Focused on the fundamental or basic research, the reason, our purpose was to deepen, increase and as much as possible generate knowledge about epistemology of mathematics, and mathematics as the basis of science. Following the implementation of the Comprehensive Organic Criminal Code (COIP), Ecuadorian criminal law has shifted toward a rights-based model in which punishment is conceived not only as a sanction but also as an instrument for rehabilitation, in accordance with the constitutional principles of human dignity, defense, and due process. The study aims to analyze the right to social reintegration from a constitutional perspective, incorporating the contributions of legal neuroscience as an innovative approach. Canada’s experience in the war against terrorism goes back to the seventies, and continues to develop nowadays, with the last direct terrorist activity in 2017. The Canadian Government reacted to these terrorist attacks by enacting a number of statutes that reflect a changing international paradigm in relation to the fight against terrorism. Fundamental rights and liberties such as the freedom of expression, the right to private life and to personal freedom have been curtailed by these legislative measures. The practical consequences of these measures are analyzed via a comparative examination of the Inter-American System of Human Rights. In general terms, the war against terrorism produces significant impacts over the human rights.

The object of study that is addressed in this article corresponds to specific challenges and demands that professionals that make up the psychosocial pairs of several schools in the Ñuble Region identify. Due to the nature of the object, the approach corresponds to the qualitative methodology based on the socio-phenomenological approach. The data production was made in 10 working groups constituted by professionals that make up psychosocial pairs. As main findings we see that, from the perspective of the actors, the task of the psychosocial pairs is mediated by three fundamental critical issues, which operate from totality: context, normativity and action. El análisis de las representaciones sociales de los jóvenes universitarios permite comprender la manera en que entienden un fenómeno sociocultural cotidiano, altamente vigente pero cuyos efectos son perniciosos y están asociados con el ejercicio de violencias de pareja. En este trabajo se indagaron las representaciones sociales de jóvenes universitarios acerca de los celos, así como las diferencias por sexo. La metodología fue cualitativa, participaron 6 hombres y 4 mujeres. Entre los hallazgos destaca que los jóvenes tienen una representación dicotómica constituida por dos tipos de celos: los aceptados y los no aceptados.
