The present work takes on the Kantian concept of ethical community as a critical starting point to construct a conception of civil society that can cope with the pretensions of an exaggerated capitalism that has been articulated through the forging of a global self-regulated market. In order to carry out the analysis, classical works in economic anthropology, such as those of Marcel Mauss and Marshal Sahlins, together with Karl Polanyi’s studies on economics, sociology and economics have been taken as additional support and re-evaluated through the perspective of contemporary works on political and social philosophy.

Revolutions are like Saturn, which devour their own children; a saying designed in correspondence with one of the most merciless gods of roman mithology, where no revolution was known without destruction or violence, seeking a change through violence; apart from taking victims opponents, it took the same revolutionaries when their own violence unleashed would turn against themselves. Those revolutions, which are frozen in the past for historical records, are today being replaced by one that increases in validity and authenticity. A Revolution that does not need to destroy to transform lives, to revive hopes and to transmit enthusiasm to its most fascinated followers, and even to those who still maintain themselves skeptics. On the contrary, it needs to create, invent and innovate in order to achieve its real and original mission.Creations with identity and defense guaranteed by a r...

In this article, which reproduces the keynote talk presented in September 2019 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Amazonian Anthropology course at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, the author proposes that, from the decade of 2010, Amazonian indigenous peoples have been faced with a new wave of change, this time linked to what the economist Klaus Schwab (2016) has called the «fourth industrial revolution». Its objective is not, however, to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this new industrial revolution, but to explore what are the new directions that Amazonian anthropology could take in the light of this new wave of change. To this end, the author explores six major lines of research, proposing for each of them a series of questions aimed at promoting or guiding future research.

Urban catalysis is the process in which an element of the city – building or public space – generates a multiplying impact on the characteristics and roles of other surrounding elements. This article explores the catalytic effect that the transformation of the Plaza de Armas meant for Arequipa after the earthquake of 1868 and the consequences it had on other surrounding spaces, as well as on the architecture and on the perception of the urban landscape by the inhabitants of that area. epoch. The hygienic ideas, brought by English and Italian immigrants after the construction of the railway, promoted a revolution in the way of experimenting and constructing urban space, moving from a utilitarian vision of a rural colonial town to the deliberate construction of a modern garden city. in the middle of the desert. For this research, the study of primary and secondary sources, such as docu...

This article proposes an approach to contemporary transformations of the legal, from the articulation between critical theory of law and the Lacanian left. On the one hand, it is stated that in contemporary times, under the dominance of the capitalist discourse, the legal has undergone a metamorphosis that can be characterized as the passage from bourgeois legal form to the right to jouissance. On the other hand, this paper claims that the law of populism can become, as residue of that discourse that it fails to reabsorb, a device capable of producing cuts on the capitalist circuit. In this context, the capitalist revolution refers to the radical change in policies and institutions and legal forms that lacks an emancipatory orientation and, on the contrary, promotes the consolidation and deepening of its repetition and reproduction. In this sense, identification with the subversive can b...

The formation of the identity of collectives is essential for the understanding of their history. Manuel González Prada is one of the most important authors in the definition of Peruvian identity. He denounced the identity composed of prejudices, atavistic fears and submission to the authority inherited from Spanish rule and worked to build a social identity based on science, rebellion and freedom. In this paper, we study the construction of identity made by the author from the narrative model of Paul Ricoeur and the change of the cultural logic defined by Jean Pierre Olivier de Sardan. For this purpose, the following texts are analyzed:Páginas libres (1894), Horas de lucha (1908), Bajo el oprobio (1933) and Anarquía (1946). In these works, Manuel González Prada criticizes the identity of domination that prevailed in Peruvian society, whereby one group imposes itself on another group...

The first years of the Cuban Revolution were of great importance for the development of archaeology in Cuba. The new institutional structure and the ideological guidelines that began to be implemented led to the creation of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba and, within it, the Department of Anthropology, directed by the Cuban investigator Ernesto Eligio Tabío Palma, who at the time came back from a stay in Peru. The meaning of Tabío’s great work in the institutional organization of Cuban archaeology, as well as his influence on the structural guidelines of the discipline, whether in theory or in praxis, have given impulse to this approachment to some aspects of his life, his first archaeological explorations before he left for Peru, and, above all, his distinguished participation in the post-revolutionary stage, highlighting some aspects of his life work that, beyond its having been re...

This exploratory study aimed to evaluate the impact of digital competitiveness on labor market indicators (labor productivity, informal employment, employee earnings and unemployment) during the Fourth Industrial Revolution from 2017 to 2021. Secondary data from IMD WDC and ILOSDG were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0, employing PLS-SEM with 115 cases and 5000 bootstraps at a significance level of 0.05. The results indicate that only formative and single-item constructs were used, VIF and individual reliability were accepted. Satisfactory R2 and Q2 values were obtained for informal employment (.455, .444), employee earnings (.506, .488) and unemployment (.214, .194), but not for labor productivity. Additionally, a relationship was found between Digital Competitiveness and the indicators: informal employment (β=-.675, t=14.181, p=<.001), employee earnings (β=.712; t=16.678, p=<.001), and une...

Abstract The University as an institution has suffered the impact of the new advances in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the Internet. The purpose of this theoretical approach is to explore, from a postmodern and posthumanist perspective, philosophical-epistemological reflections on the new scenarios through which the Peruvian university is going and will go through to reorient its goals: as a challenge and ontological objective, in the face of the renewed demands of society. of the third millennium. The methodology used is qualitative through a proposal of discourse analysis and its own argumentative apparatus. The result assumes the need to initiate a change in the conception of the university and promote a mental revolution in all the agents involved in the university institutional environment.

The psychology as a science emerged from the human desire of understanding the mind and the behavior. The scientific foundation of this discipline went through complex processes sometimes confusing, in order to be able to determinate which its object of study is and which are the most appropriate methods to address it. In an attempt to scientifically revolutionize this branch of knowledge, cognitive psychology arises in the context of an interdisciplinary work between various sciences, including cybernetics and artificial intelligence, which played a determinant role. Both sciences, cognitive psychology and artificial intelligence, influenced each other. In this paper we will analyze some facts of history and some myths that were created on the concept of “intelligence” and the concept of “revolution”- style Kuhn.
