In the present work, the knowledge of Dermestidae from Peru is actualized and the characters for their recognition are given, as well as distribution data and food substrates of nine species, with six new records for Peru Dermestes frischii Kugelann, Trogoderma angustum var. alfa (Solier, 1849), Trogoderma anthrenoides (Sharp, 1902), Attagenus fasciatus (Thunberg), Orphinus fulvipes Guérin-Ménéville; Trogoderma anthrenoides (Sharp, 1902) and Trogoderma inclusum Le Conte, 1854.

Describimos una nueva especie de perlita, Polioptila clementsi, del bosque de arena blanca (varillal) de la Reserva Nacional Allpahuayo-Mishana, a 25 km por carretera al oeste de Iquitos, Perú. Hasta la fecha, la nueva especie es conocida solamente de la reserva, y es rara incluso allí. Comparaciones de caracteres morfológicos y vocales confirman que es un miembro del complejo Polioptila guianensis, que comprende al menos tres taxones alopátricos muy poco conocidos, que se extienden desde la región de las Guyanas y el Río Negro a través de gran parte de la Amazonía al sur del Río Amazonas. We report observations of albino individuals in three species of Peruvian birds, Great Grebe (Podiceps major), Peruvian Pelican (Pelecanus thagus) and Bar-winged Cinclodes (Cinclodes fuscus). These were all three mostly white partial albinos, apparently adult birds that showed normal behavior among normal conspecific individuals. Survival after several months was confirmed for the Peruvian Pelican and the Bar-winged Cinclodes. Since published information on albinism in Peruvian birds is very scarce, a revision was made and records for nine other species were compiled and are also presented.

In terms of the works contracts as a general rule the target prices between the parties are immutable. However, in the execution of the contracts for works might well emerge unforeseeable events, which would produce costs to the contractor. To these events, what actions the parties migth take? What kind of remedies does the Peruvian Civil Code offer?. In this article, the autor analizes these issues and proposes solutions to these unforeseeable risks, all on the basis of Peruvian Civil Code and a comparative study with Italian Civil Code.

CMMI has increased the productivity and reduced the cost of software development in the software industry. However, there are factors that influence the adoption and retention of CMMI in software organizations, and that need to be studied over time. Study conclusions: The overall analysis does not indicate benefit of combination therapy (gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog [GnRHa] + recombinant human growth hormone [rhGH]) versus GnRHa alone, rhGH alone, or no treatment. However, there are benefits to a greater or lesser extent in certain subpopulations. Critical comment: The article is relevant as there was no previous meta-analysis on combination therapy. On the other hand, it is important since combination therapy involves the use of rhGH, which can be expensive, difficult to adhere to, and lead to adverse effects. Proceso de búsqueda de información: Se realizó una revisión de literatura, donde primero se procedió a una búsqueda en PubMed mediante los términos MeSH y se obtuvo 367 resultados que coinciden con el criterio de inclusión de revistas de los últimos diez años. El artículo presenta una revisión de propuestas metodológicas para la evaluación de la llamada Responsabilidad Social Universitaria a partir del análisis de sistemas de indicadores en el espacio de educación superior iberoamericano. Se realizó una revisión en bases bibliográficas de publicaciones, recopilándose desarrollos realizados entre el periodo 2006–2013, identificándose un total de dos tesis doctorales que presentaron sistemas de evaluación en estudiantes; dos modelos propuestos por universidades en Perú y España; y los trabajos de dos redes de universidades que diseñaron un desarrollo conceptual de Responsabilidad Social Universitaria y sistemas de indicadores para su evaluación. The article presents a review of methodologies for the assessment of the so-called University Social Responsibility from the analysis of indicator systems in the area of higher education in Ibero-America. A publication-based research was conducted, compiling progress made between the years 2006-2013. A total of two doctoral theses that presented evaluation systems in students; two models proposed by universities in Peru and Spain; and the papers of two university networks that designed a University Social Responsibility conceptual development and indicator systems for its assessment were identified. In the world there is a growing awareness about the use of clean energy to reduce the rates of environmental pollution caused by gases that cause global warming, in that sense this research focuses on the use of biogas produced by solid waste from landfills as a source of renewable energy. In the particular case of the Portillo Grande landfill from Lurín, the confined solid waste produces large amounts of biogas that are burned manually before it goes outside, without its energy value being used.
