BPM is a methodology that is focused mainly on process management, rather than on its results; compared to others such as total quality management (TQM), Lean, Six sigma among others. The purpose of the research study was to develop a process model to improve the management of research projects competing for internal grants in a university context with the Business Process Management SaaS approach. The type of research applied was a quantitative and technological approach because it was proposed to formalize the process supported with an application in the cloud under the BPM SaaS approach. For the development of the research project, the tools of the Bizagi Studio suite were used to design the processes and for the comparison of the results, and an instrument was developed that was validated by experts and applied to representatives of teachers, administrators and students. Methods: an analytical-interpretive study was carried out with a sample of 68 participants aged between 20 and 45, and treated at the National Institute of Endocrinology, Havana, Cuba. Data collection instruments were a personal information sheet, an in-depth interview guide and two projective psychological tests. Ethical aspects were considered. Results: in-depth interviews gave rise to four topics: 1) multidimensional expression of the disease, 2) the disease and life areas, 3) sexuality with the dis...

The objective of the research was to determine the factors of consumer behavior that influence the purchase pro- cess of bodegas in the context of COVID-19 in the year 2021. The study was carried out from the quantitative approach, with a research design non-experimental-transversal-explanatory. A questionnaire consisting of 31 questions was applied to 399 consumers who attended Peruvian bodegas, who were randomly selected for the application of the instrument. The results generated by structural equations show that social factors and psychological factors of consumer behavior signifi- cantly influence the purchase process (p < 0.05); however, unlike the previous results, the cultural factors of consumer behavior do not have significant implications in the purchase decision (p value = 0.054 < α = 0.05) and in the feeling after the purchase (p value = 0.082 < α = 0.05), as well as the p...

One of the most conflictive scenarios for criminal law and its punitive and preventive responses is found at the confluence of armed conflicts, being these an inexhaustible engine of production of regulated criminal acts, both nationally and internationally. The present work will focus its study on those crimes related to internal armed conflicts and on how we can reach a more comprehensive legal logic from a dogmatic criminal perspective derived from the theory of crime —more than a political response in amnesty—, specifically through assumptions of need, when providing a definitive resolution to a context of armed conflict, which requires unrestricted criminal solutions to the dialectical borders of each government in office.

How to approach higher education for training in applied research in a "change of epoch" where knowledge has become a substantial asset to the generation of value in goods and services in organizations? What strategy should be implemented when its efficiency tends to be measured through mechanisms external to the research areas of the university? Two questions that allow, on the one hand, going the traditional way in which the university reiterates trivial mechanisms for engineering research training, and, on the other, the holistic -systemic-cybernetic- approach that promotes this same training in the context of complexity. This paper reviews the experience in the field of engineering, emphasizing the educational strategy aimed at achieving an insight of knowledge, where the university is facing increasing difficulty in setting the direction of the areas of applied research in engineeri...

Communication for development (CfD) is a discipline that seeks to promote social change through the strategic use of media and participatory dialogue. However, there is a paucity of studies that systematically and critically analyze the social processes underlying CfD interventions and their impact on the social significance of beneficiary communities. This article presents a narrative review of the literature on CfD, with the aim of identifying the main theoretical and methodological approaches that have addressed this topic, as well as the main limitations and challenges facing research in this field. Thirty-five articles published between 2018 and 2023 were analyzed, selected through a search in the Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, Redalyc and Latindex databases. The results show that most of the studies adopt a qualitative and participatory perspective, focused on the analysis of spec...
