El propósito de la investigación fue proponer una mejora para la gestión del proceso de la participación de los estudiantes y docentes en proyectos de investigación bajo el enfoque Business Process Management Using the Software as a Service (BPMSaaS). El tipo de investigación para el estudio es aplicado, con enfoque cuantitativo y a su vez tecnológica porque propuso formalizar el proceso mencionado bajo la metodología (BPMSaaS).
