Nowadays, companies face strong competition worldwide, so there is great pressure to increase productivity and reduce production costs. Low productivity is reflected in a high amount of waste, unproductive times, and returns in the extrusion process of an SME in the plastics industry. Therefore, a model focused on continuous improvement is proposed to increase productivity using Lean Manufacturing tools such as Standard Work, SMED, and TPM. Through a simulation of the extrusion process using the Arena software, it was possible to validate an increase in the productivity of the extrusion process by 4.97%, going from 0.21 to 0.22. Likewise, the Standard Work tool reduced wastage by 30.44%, the SMED tool reduced extruder machine setup times by 9.76%, and finally, the TPM tool, focused on its fourth pillar of quality maintenance, was able to reduce defective products by 28.38%.

In Peru, the food industry represents 16.52% of GDP and bread is one of the foods that generated the highest consumption; however, despite the demand, bakery SMEs have a negative performance. Poor process management and methods are used affecting its pro- ductivity. Faced with this problem, SMEs in Europe are using the Lean Manufacturing methodology to optimize their processes. That is why this article proposes as a contribution the Lean-Deming Model, which includes tools such as Poka Yoke, Work Standardiza- tion, 5S and Deming Cycle. To validate this contribution, the model was developed in a bakery SME in Lima, Peru in its "pan frances" production line. These applications are designed with cloud-native web architectures, operate on an elastic self-service platform, and stand out because of their resilience and elasticity. Continuous software engineering integrates requirements engineering, development, and operations in a continuous loop with reciprocal feedback to produce quality software. The present work proposes to design and implement a cloud-native application applied to the SIGCON case study from a continuous software engineering perspective. It uses the CaaS cloud service model, applies the BFF pattern in software construction, containerizes the frontend, backend, and storage, and presents the results.

To adjust the parameters that influence the appearance of defects in the steel in the continuous casting mold, a particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) was developed using process models. The study considered multiple objectives with multiple restrictions and the results were compared with those reported by a teaching-learning-based optimization algorithm (TLBO). We conclude that the PSO has a good capacity to determine the parameters of the mold, and with it, it is possible to achieve an optimal solution without requiring great computational efforts.

En el ensayo se revisa cómo las ciencias sociales actuales hacen uso del concepto paisaje como categoría analítica en la investigación territorial. El estudio del paisaje implica un proceso de multidisciplinariedad importante, en el que la historia funge como eje fundamental al representar la dinámica de las estructuras y morfologías sociales y ambientales que van dejando huellas en los espacios. Los paisajes son ventanas a los diferentes modos de ser y hacer en la historia, por lo que son una herramienta con grandes posibilidades para comprender las súbitas transformaciones de las regiones contemporáneas. La discusión que se propone en este sentido, comienza por encontrar la posición teórico-metodológica de los estudios del paisaje en las ciencias sociales, en específico con el enfoque cultural en geografía.

El presente artículo presenta las consideraciones para efectuar propuestas de mejora de procesos en el área de producción de un astillero. La investigación resume la problemática actual en las operaciones industriales en un astillero naval peruano, en el cual se describe el análisis y el diagnóstico de la empresa en donde se evidencia los sobrecostos generados por horas extras de la mano de obra, y finalmente se determinan algunas propuestas de mejora mediante la aplicación de herramientas de calidad para la optimización de procesos productivos.

This paper is focused on creation a program to simulate the dynamic behavior of a reactor of tank with constant reaction which initials in English it is CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor), and is considered as a complete mixture and, therefore, it is assumed that their properties are uniform throughout the reactor in which the exothermic reaction takes place of the ethyl acetate saponification with sodium hydroxide. El presente trabajo está orientado a la creación de un programa que permita simular el comportamiento dinámico de un reactor de tanque con reacción continua cuyas siglas en inglés es CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor), y se considera como una mezcla completa y, por lo tanto, se asume que sus propiedades son uniformes en todo el interior del reactor en el cual se desarrolla la reacción exotérmica de la saponificación de acetato de etilo con hidróxido de sodio. En la construcción del programa se emplea el software MATLAB Y Simulink.
