The present article exposes the development of the research on the modeling of the windings of a power transformer to determine and analyze the transient voltages transferred to the secondary winding when an atmospheric impulse voltage is applied to the primary winding. Each winding is modeled considering its geometric and constructive form by means of concentrated electrical parameters - Resistance, Dielectric Conductance, Series Capacitances, Earth Capacitance, Inductiveness and Mutual Inductance - calculated with conventional formulations, which are incorporated into an integral model of the windings that explains his behavior in front of surges. In this work three mathematical models of transmission lines are shown, the most used, to simulate electromagnetic transients in power systems. In addition, its main characteristics, advantages and disadvantages are mentioned. Likewise, the algorithms are shown in the form of flow charts for the simulations of the transients. Finally, the results of simulations of maneuvering surges in a single-phase transmission line using the MATLAB software are shown.

La tesis presenta un análisis comparativo del comportamiento no lineal de los casos típicos de conexiones empernadas en base a su resistencia, ductilidad y rigidez lo que permite diferenciar cuáles de ellas pueden ser consideradas como flexibles, rígidas o semirrígidas. Con la curva momento vs rotación se pueden modelar las conexiones empernadas y realizar el análisis estructural de los pórticos. Para la investigación se estudiaron las normas AISC LRFD (1999), Eurocódigo 3 (1993) , Norma Peruana E-090 (2006) y se profundizó en el estudio del Método Power Model 3D. Finalmente se incluye un ejemplo práctico que puede ser usado como guía por el ingeniero estructural.

An experimental model of a wind solar chimney for electrical supply was developed, firstly, the most suitable geographic space was selected for the implementation of the model. A proposal is presented in which the respective energy analysis is carried out to characterize the calorific value of commercial gasolines in Ecuador as: Super, Extra and Ecopaís. This study is carried out in the laboratory of internal combustion engines of the University of the Armed Forces-ESPE, with the purpose of obtaining mathematical models that relate the energy and quality parameters of gasolines.Models that will be obtained through computational tools such as artificial neural network (ANN), which will use a set of historical data provided by the Agency for Regulation and Control of Hydrocarbons (ARCH) of Ecuador, for validation.

The definition of the form of authority that was dominating the Lurín and neighboring valleys during the late periods continues being an object of debate. Ethnohistorical sources have been massively used to reconstruct the socio-political regional framework before the Incas. Though certain authors defend a model of theocratic power dominated by the priests of Ychsma-Pachacamac’s cult, others propose a division of the authority between priests and curacas, i.e. between religious and secular. Monumental architecture and settlement patterns provide interesting information to feed this debate. Concretely, I compare this set of archaeological data with the information gathered in the Lurín valley before the reforms of Toledo. This article pose the hypothesis that the terms of trade resulting from the interaction of market forces are the expression of the power relations that exist between the interest groups of a social system. An analytical framework to test this hypothesis is applied to the case of oil prices and theoretical implications are derived for the economic models, that should consider the power variable into their theory of prices.

The Unified power flow controller (UPFC) is the most important contribution of the power electronics in the modern Electrical Power Systems. The UPFC is able to decouple the control of the active and reactive power sent trough the transmission line. This control is performed byinjecting in series with the transmission line a voltage with regulated magnitude and phase, generated by a PWM voltage source inverter (VSI). When the current flow in the line originate in the inverter an active and reactive power. The active part of the power require to be eithersupplied or absorbed by a device, e.g. a second inverter. In this paper, simulation result obtained with a fundamental model of UPFC connected to a simple AC transmission system, and a control system base on "dq" transformation necessary to obtained the P and Q decoupled control ispresented.

This study shows the results of investigations to determine harmonics in electrical current through the use of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) using the methods of Feedforward-Backpropagation through a generator of electrical signals in C# (C Sharp). We studied the causes of current harmonics, what a re its implications in everyday work and filters to attenuate these harmonics. In this essay a quick review of the crises of the reforms of the electricity sector in Latin America and particularly in Peru is carried out; the main factors of the same and the ineffectiveness of the Efficient Generation Law are identified, as well as the strong indications of market power.
