The purpose of this systematic review was to investigate the potential of Nostoc seaweed, also known as Cushuro, as a nutritional supplement in various food products, and its possible benefits in combating public health problems, generally anemia and malnutrition. The methodology used included an exhaustive review of theoretical and empirical sources, with questions formulated following the PICOC format and the PRISMA method. Specific keywords were established and search equations were developed in the Scopus database. In addition, criteria were applied to select articles that met the necessary requirements. Initially, 4932 relevant studies were found, and after applying rigorous methodological criteria, 86 articles were selected that turned out to be relevant to this research. The analysis of these 30 articles allowed significant results to be obtained, highlighting that 19 of them high...

Solar energy is considered one of the most important energy sources in recent years and is used by photovoltaic panels for electricity generation, making it a valuable alternative to generate quality, stable energy and improve energy efficiency in a residence. Specifically, the study of implementing solar panels as electricity generating alternatives in homes is very important. Taking into account the above, the purpose of this research work is to present a current perspective on commonly standardized installations and innovative methodologies that use photovoltaic energy, highlighting the growth and effectiveness in other parameters such as quality, energy efficiency and others in the home energy field. The study carried out focuses on the RSL, following the procedure set by the PRISMA matrix with a representative sample of 81 articles from the Scopus and Scielo data source between the ...

Organic agriculture is highly valued internationally as it results in significant economic gains for the value chains of various food products. Within the organic certification process, the identification of agrochemical residues in food is vital for screening production lots that come from organic and/or conventional crops. Currently, the analysis of agrochemical residues is performed with highly sophisticated techniques such as liquid chromatography (LC) and gas chromatography (GC) coupled to mass detectors (MS), these techniques are highly expensive and complex. The present review provides insights into how the combination of vibrational spectroscopy with appropriate chemometric techniques (multivariate statistics) can be used to develop methods for classification and quantification of agrochemical residues in various food matrices in a simple way, avoiding the use of toxic reagents, ...

The present study addresses a systematic literature review (RSL) on the current development of bioplastics as a sustainable alternative due to their degradability. The methodology consisted of an exhaustive search in the Scopus database using keywords about bioplastics, biodegradables, starch, among others. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, finally obtaining 30 relevant articles published in the last 5 years (2018 - 2023). The results show that the main types of bioplastics in development are biodegradable plastics from fossil resources, compostable and bio-based. The degradability time varies between 6 months to 10 years depending on the materials, although few studies specify this information. The most used additives in the production of bioplastics are plasticizers, thickeners and emulsifiers. The most commonly used biodegradable materials and products include corn, potat...

The article explores the evolution of energy sources from biomass to today's sustainable ones, emphasizing the historical relationship between humans and nature. Although coal drove the Industrial Revolution, with negative impacts, the current global priority is the transition to more sustainable energies. It suggests the use of distributed microgrids to generate energy, promoting investments in renewables and providing financial and socioeconomic benefits. Microgrids, essential in smart grids, optimize reliability and costs, managing hybrid sources and storage. Efficient integration of solar energy in microgrids is crucial, backed by research with neural networks. Direct current microgrids represent a breakthrough. From the financial perspective, rural electrification and solar "soft technology" are analyzed, with emphasis on the influence of "Startups" (a newly created company that, th...
