Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is a rare disease that complicates pre-transfusion tests due to the presence of autoantibodies interfering with conventional serological techniques. This increases the risk of alloimmunization and hinders the selection of compatible units, particularly in multi-transfused patients. This article reviews the use of molecular techniques, such as red blood cell genotyping, to improve transfusion safety in AIHA patients. Data sources such as PubMed, Cochrane, Medline, and Scielo were reviewed to identify relevant studies published between 2013 and 2024. Molecular techniques provide faster and more precise typing, overcoming serological interferences, but face challenges like high costs and limited infrastructure in countries like Peru. Objective. Evaluate three behavior management techniques: Systematic Desensitization (SD), the Treament and Education of Autistic and related Communication Handicapped Children (TEACCH) and Tell, Show, Do (TSD) Method, during dental care for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Methods. Eighteen people from Northeast Mexico diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder participated, with a range of 13 to 15 years, divided in to three groups, according to the TEACCH, SD and TSD technique with six participants per group. Esta inusual situación afecta gravemente a la ya frágil relación paciente-operador; teniendo en cuenta que el paciente es un niño, la situación se complica un poco más.

OBJECTIVES: To precise clinical differences of three uterine evacuation procedures for incomplete abortion, quality and costs of human and material resources, and acceptability of immediate postabortion contraception. DESIGN: Prospective study of 759 patients with uncomplicated incomplete abortion attended at Maria Auxiliadora Hospital Gynecology and Obstetrics Department randomly assigned to either dilatation and curettage (D&C, 348 patients) or manual (211) or electrical (200) suction. Clinical findings, and post op complications were registered. Contraceptive counseling was offered. If patient did not return for evaluation within 30 days, she was visited at home. RESULTS: Either analgesia or sedation was use during the procedure, bleeding was higher with D&C and pain was more frequent with suction. The craft beer industry has developed in the Peruvian market by 2023, representing sales of 2.33 billion; However, its productivity rate of 12% is still low compared to the industry's average productivity of 55%. Among the causes of the problem, the lack of a production plan and a demand forecasting system was identified; Therefore, the objective of this study is to develop a forecast model for the demand for beer and the economic order quantity of raw materials to develop an adequate production and supply plan to increase productivity in the study company. The textile industry represents 6.4% of the G.D.P., which has a high demand for orders with fast and correct deliveries. Nevertheless, there is a rate of returns that has been increasing in the last few years due to the high number of orders received. For this reason, the article is based on a case study of a SME.That sells children's clothing in Peru. A model was developed using 5s methodology, ABC Multicriteria, Jidoka, and Standardized Work, seeking to improve the current 7.14% of returns. The proposed model was implemented with a pilot plan and simulated with Arena Software, proving that the combination of Lean methodologies can optimize the warehouse processes, reducing the rate of returns to 4%.

The main purpose of this work is to compare two kinds of handy-technique compost within wells. One of the wells containing organic waste and dung, and the other, stubble and dung. From this experiment, comparative yields will be given, starting from compost making, its physical and chemical features, and, finally, compost quality in each of its main compounds. Our management proposal is to run a recovery program which will be useful to profit from one of the most valuable and misspent municipaluty resources: plant waste (stubble). The result could be a handy and simple compost factory to be used by municipalities.

La problemática observada en el almacén de una empresa de autopartes son los altos tiempos en el proceso de preparación de pedidos debido a la falta de herramientas de mejora continua en el proceso mismo. El objetivo de esta investigación es proponer un modelo de gestión del proceso de picking para reducir los tiempos en la atención de pedidos mediante la herramienta 5´S. Para ello, se realizó un estudio empírico con alcance cuasi experimental y post positivista, bajo la modalidad de estudio de caso. Se evidenció la diferencia en el tiempo de preparación dependiendo del tipo de trabajador en el almacén, y mediante la aplicación de las 5´S y estandarización de trabajo se logró una reducción significativa en el tiempo de picking del 41,37% en el caso de los nuevos operadores, del 32,80% para un operador estándar y del 11,82% para los operadores experimentados.

Picking is a basic process within warehouse management, comprising the activities carried out since the order is received until the products are located in the warehouse and are ready for dispatch. The objective of this study was to optimize the productivity of the picking process in a Peruvian food company. For this purpose, a pre-test and post-test methodology was designed with a qualitative and descriptive approach in order to suggest an innovative proposal. Lean Warehousing techniques, such as 5s and Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) were utilized, as well as an inventory record automation model and ADKAR, a change management model. As cleft lip and palate is one of the most frequent congenital anomalies, orthodontists should know about transverse management in these patients, to ignore it might aggravate the fissure, as the biomechanical effects in these patients require special care due to their maxillary structure. This case series include three patients, one with a sequel of right unilateral cleft lip and palate, one bilateral and the last one with left unilateral cleft lip and palate. The maxillary transverse constriction and the discrepancy with the mandibular width, led to choice quadhelix appliance to solve this problem. In the company Imperios Operadores Logísticos S.A, a questionnaire of Burnout Syndrome was applied to 28 participating collaborators, whose diagnosis showed that 39% was in the middle level and 61% in the high level of the syndrome; signs that these employees were emotionally tired, unmotivated and indifferent to their coworkers. Contrary case happened in the subsequent test, whose results managed, that no collaborator has a high level of Burnout Syndrome; otherwise 25% of those evaluated managed to have a low level, while 75% were located at a medium level, for this reason the application of the coping techniques developed with said collaborators managed to decrease the high levels of Burnout Syndrome.
