I designed and formulated a shampoo containing the alcoholic extract of Urtica urens L. using an analytical, experimental and comparative method. white rabbits, New Zealand breed males (irritation test for biological evaluation of medical devices) were used. The occupation of peri-urban areas in the eight largest Amazonian cities is studied, along with its impact on forest conservation, in order to identify conditions associated with greater or lesser loss of peri-urban forests. For this purpose, a comparative analysis of demographic and spatial indicators is conducted, as well as a spatial analysis of recent urban growth over forested areas. Furthermore, challenges for the conservation of peri-urban forests are discussed based on key territorial dynamics and existing mechanisms for territorial planning and management. The aim of this study was to determine the perceptions about the emotional impact that the loss or death of the companion animal produces in the lives of its owners. For this, an observational descriptive study based on interviews was designed. One hundred surveys were conducted, and it was found that 87 and 9% of the respondents had dogs and cats, respectively. The average age of acquisition was 0.8 and 0.2, and average holding ownership of 7.6 and 2.6 years, for dogs and cats, respectively. The predominant reasons for tenure were liking towards animals (39%) and the company they gave (35%). Frequent ways of obtaining were gift (52%), purchase (27%) and adoption (19%). Most rated their tenure as very important (62%) and important (34%). The interviewees manifested feeling towards their animal as feelings of love / affection (43%), joy / happiness (27%) and tenderness (17%). The reciproc...

This paper proposes a procedure to minimize electrical losses present in industrial systems, through a specific program developed for this purpose, based on Genetic Algorithm, and written using MATLAB instructions.The minimization is realized with the placement of shunt capacitors connected to the buses. For validation of the proposed method, it is considered accuracy and speed, and the developed program´s results are compared with the results produced by traditional programs. The program avoids leading power factor at the bus connected with the power distribution company and the user may determine buses where he does not want the installation of capacitors. The Genetic Algorithm's fitness, responsible for guiding the optimization process, is the active power loss. Finally, the program is applied to minimize active losses present at an industrial system, 38 buses.

Para evaluar el efecto de los costos laborales sobre el empleo es crucial tener estimaciones confiables de la elasticidad costo laboral de la demanda de trabajo. Usándose una base de datos emparejados a nivel de firmas y trabajador, estimamos una función de demanda no condicionada de trabajo de largo plazo, explotando información sobre trabajadores para corregir la endogeneidad en la determinación de los salarios. Evaluamos los efectos sobre el empleo y la pérdida de eficiencia social de los valores observados de las aportaciones de los empleadores impuestas por la legislación laboral (seguro de salud, capacitación e impuestos) así como de las deducciones a los trabajadores (seguridad social e impuesto a la renta). On the other hand, emotional states influence individuals’ decisions and their consequences of loss or gain, triggering negative or positive emotional reactions, respectively. The objective of the present study is to identify the emotions and their level of intensity involved in potential monetary gains and losses in young men and women from Mexico. In countries with high seismicity, such as Peru, Chile, and Colombia, the mid- to high-rise buildings typically use reinforced concrete (RC) wall systems, which have generally demonstrated adequate seismic performance. However, cases such as the collapse of the Alto Río building during the 2010 Chile earthquake and severe damage reported in other wallstructured buildings reveal that, under certain conditions, these systems may be vulnerable.
