En este estudio se tuvo la finalidad de conocer la relación entre la percepción del dolor y actitud del paciente frente al tratamiento ortodóntico en dos centros odontológicos Lima 2023. For this, an observational descriptive study based on interviews was designed. One hundred surveys were conducted, and it was found that 87 and 9% of the respondents had dogs and cats, respectively. The average age of acquisition was 0.8 and 0.2, and average holding ownership of 7.6 and 2.6 years, for dogs and cats, respectively. The predominant reasons for tenure were liking towards animals (39%) and the company they gave (35%). Frequent ways of obtaining were gift (52%), purchase (27%) and adoption (19%). Most rated their tenure as very important (62%) and important (34%). The interviewees manifested feeling towards their animal as feelings of love / affection (43%), joy / happiness (27%) and tenderness (17%). The reciproc...

The aim of this study was to determine the perception of veterinary students from three universities in Lima, Peru, about the use of euthanasia in companion animals. For this, an information collection instrument was validated that included demographic variables of the respondent, questions about the use of euphemisms and acceptance of euthanasia in different settings, and proposals for the ethical assessment of euthanasia. In total, 640 surveys were collected, 65.5% corresponding to female students. All the students knew the term euthanasia, the euphemism "sleeping" being the most used as a student (63.3%) and the term euthanasia, properly speaking, the one they would use professionally (45.5%). The objective of the study was to describe the criteria used by pet owners in Metropolitan Lima when they decide to resort to euthanasia. The study developed corresponded to an observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study. It used surveys implemented in Google Forms format. The survey data were automatically stored in a Google Excel database and summarized using descriptive statistics. Of the 405 pet owners surveyed, the majority were female (75.1 %), between 26 and 50 years of age (55.1 %), and had a university education (78.8 %).
