Two dogs were diagnosed with Lyme borreliosis and one dog with anaplasmosis. The animals showed unspecific clinical signs like depression, pale mucose membranes, and one of them had petechiae and ecchymotic skin lesions. The laboratory diagnose was done by an ELISA commercial test. This is the first report of these diseases in Lima, Peru.

Dos perros fueron diagnosticados con borreliosis y uno con anaplasmosis, ambos casos hallados por primera vez en la ciudad de Lima, Perú. Los animales presentaban signos inespecíficos como decaimiento y palidez de mucosas, y uno de ellos con petequias y equimosis en piel. El diagnóstico de laboratorio se hizo mediante una prueba de ELISA comercial.

Se diagnosticó de poliquistosis renal bilateral (enfermedad renal poliquística) mediante ultrasonografía a un canino bulldog inglés de 4 meses de edad. Las imágenes fueron obtenidas mediante un transductor microconvexo multifrecuencial de 4-10 MHz Sonosite Micromaxx®, con el paciente en recumbencia dorsal. Se tomaron análisis sanguíneos donde se detectó leucocitosis moderada con desviación a la izquierda,  anemia normocrómica normocítica, creatinina en 4.6 mg/dl, calcio y fósforo sérico en 10.34 mg/dl y 10.5 mg/dl respectivamente, también se le realizó urianálisis donde se observó peso específico en 1.010, proteinuria, y 30-35 por campo de leucocitos en el sedimento urinario así como presencia de bacterias. The objective of the study was to describe the criteria used by pet owners in Metropolitan Lima when they decide to resort to euthanasia. The study developed corresponded to an observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study. It used surveys implemented in Google Forms format. The survey data were automatically stored in a Google Excel database and summarized using descriptive statistics. Of the 405 pet owners surveyed, the majority were female (75.1 %), between 26 and 50 years of age (55.1 %), and had a university education (78.8 %).
