In Costa Rica, before 2016 the subject of statistics was not included in the national high school tests in Mathematics. As of 2016, the test, consisting of 60 items, includes 9 statistical items. On the other hand, teachers in their lessons usually use traditional expository methods, mediated by the use of a blackboard and printed materials. In this context, a need to create and implement new teaching techniques in this area was evident, for which a Multimedia Instructional Unit in Statistics was developed and applied through the eXeLearning technological tool. Women’s presence in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) has been growing in relevance, yet research on the topic is met with a lack of data for the construction of consistent analysis. The Equality for Leadership in Latin American STEM Network (ELLAS) aims to develop a Linked Open Data (LOD) platform to help fill this gap. This work is embedded in ELLAS and contributes to (1) a triplication (RDF) of the data in Inep’s Higher Education Census, (2) the creation of a methodology for elaborating ontologies, to be used within the project, that enables an analysis of the presence and permanence of women in STEM areas and (3) its instantiation in the context of Higher Education in the field of computing in Brazil.

La enseñanza de la programación tiene, entre sus objetivos esenciales, la formación y desarrollo de habilidades, por parte de los estudiantes, que posibiliten la resolución de problemas del ámbito escolar, profesional o de la vida práctica, teniendo en cuenta los recursos que brindan los diferentes lenguajes de programación. En la formación de profesores de Informática, este proceso posee características que lo distinguen. El profesor en formación debe desarrollar la habilidad y, a la vez, apropiarse de los procedimientos necesarios para poder dirigir este proceso en la escuela. En este artículo se exponen los principales resultados obtenidos al respecto durante el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje de varias asignaturas de Programación en la formación de profesores de Informática con la sistematización de experiencias vividas durante nueve años.

Dear Editor, Digital health applications have demonstrated benefits in several healthcare outcomes therefore it has become a serious alternative to getting Sustainable Development Goals 2030 related to health (1). In recent years, Latin America is creating policies and strategies for digital health. Peru is one of the earliest countries in Latin America that establish policies for eHealth and digital health but its implementation in the real world is limited (2). It is well known that some medical schools have courses related to informatics, Health Informatics (HI), or even medical informatics but there is no evidence about how many of peruvian medical schools teach HI within their curricula or what content or topics are provided.

The education of programming has between its main objectives, the development and the formation of skills on the part of the students, who make possible the resolution of problems of the school, professional or of the practical life taking into account the different resources that offer the languages of programming. In the training course of computer teachers, this process has some characteristics that distinguish it. The teachers to be must develop the skill and at the same time to appropriate of the necessary procedures to direct this process in the school. This article presents the main results obtained regarding this topic during the teaching learning process of several subjects of Programming in the training of Informatics teachers, with the systematization of living experiences, during nine years.

To this end, three topics are presented, in an introductory manner, which, in the author's opinion, are some of the most outstanding. Specifically, the central aspects of items improved with technology, item banks and computerized adaptive tests are presented. The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on medical care and medical education in Peru. In response, the Peruvian American Medical Society (PAMS), a charitable medical organization based in the USA, pursued its medical and educational missions in Peru by adopting virtual learning technology. We developed closer collaborative relationships with several medical schools and the Peruvian Association of Medical Schools (ASPEFAM) while offering a faculty panel of twenty-four members to provide lectures and multidisciplinary webinars in Spanish. We conducted 19 webinars including COVID -19 and non-COVID-19 related topics that over the last two years attracted 14,489 participants from 23 countries. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo principal analizar el uso de las herramientas ofimáticas que tienen los docentes de un Centro de Educación Básica Alternativa (CEBA) de Lima Metropolitana. La investigación presenta un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica, su nivel es descriptivo y su diseño es no experimental. La población pertenece a un CEBA, constituida por 14 docentes. La muestra fue de 10 docentes. Para el recojo de la información, se elaboró un cuestionario de escala tipo Likert. El objetivo de este estudio fue llevar a cabo una revisión sistemática de la literatura sobre el almacenamiento de la evidencia digital usando Cloud Computing entre los años 2016 y 2022. La estrategia de búsqueda empleada identificó 5754 estudios de bibliotecas digitales, entre las cuales se incluyen a Google Scholar, ARDI, IEEE Xplore, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, Scopus, entre otros.
