Nowadays we possess diverse materials to realize posterior direct restorations as the seventh-generation adhesives and the nanotechnology resins systems. As well as the materials are changing in the time the same happens with the techniques and protocols to use. In the present article there is detailed the protocol of application of seventh-generation adhesives as agent of link and the application of a composite resin using the oblique incremental technique in cavities with and without glass ionomer in the resolution of a clinical case. Results: The obtained results were satisfactory for the patient since it was possible to restore adequately the dental piece involved returning the aesthetics and the lost function. Conclusions: The deep knowledge of the materials to be used as well as the techniques it is going to lead to optimizing of our rehabilitation treatment.

Meta-analyses show that the correlations of approaches to learning with academic achievement are low. However, only one study has controlled these correlations in the presence of intelligence. Our study investigates the incremental validity of the surface and deep approaches taking cognitive abilities as control and applied the multiple linear regression and CART regression tree method in a diversified sample of high school students from Minas Gerais, Brazil. We found a prediction of 20.37% and 35.20% of the outcome variance, through the linear regression and CART, respectively. Our results show that although cognitive abilities are more important than students’ approaches, the approaches have incremental validity and important roles as predictors of academic achievement.

Strong motion records are important for improving seismic design, damage assessment and analysis of earthquake effects. Despite the relevance of having strong motion networks, their implementation in Peru has been performed in the very recent years. For instance, only five strong motion stations in Lima recorded the 2007 Mw 7.9 Pisco earthquake, whereas 55 stations recorded the 2021 Mw 6.0 Mala earthquake. The current number of instrumentations in Lima city provides an opportunity to improve soil characterization. To determinate the wave climate in deep water o˙ the Peruvian coast, instrumental data from satellite and buoys was employed to calibrate wave reanalysis from NCEP for the period 1979 to 2017. Wave data was calibrated using an exponential model described by Minguez et al. (2011). The results shows correlation coe°cient values between 0.7 to 0.9, also BIAS and RMSE showed acceptable values, which indicate a good approximation between both information databases. We have obtained wave information in deep waters which can be used to analyze average an extremely wave regimes to study coastal processes, and study the in˛uence of El NIÑO and La NIÑA phenomenon in the study area. Three small plantations of Eucalyptus grandis (0.9 Ha), Pinus tecunumanii (0.3 Ha) and Cupressus macrocarpa (0.2 Ha) were established on a plot of land that had been used for agricultural purposes until 2004. Fifteen years later, depth of the mulch (Horizon Ao) generated for decomposition of organic matter of litter produced by the forest management practices was measured. In addition, samples were taken from the A1 horizon for analysis of pH, percentage of organic matter, phosphorus and potassium. Mulch deep results suggests low decomposition of vegetal material for Pinus tecunumanii plantations (9.85 cm), middle for Cupressus macrocarpa (6.18 cm) and higher for Eucalyptus grandis (5.91 cm). Objective: Determine the relationship between socio-demographic characteristics, knowledge, and good practices in anemic children and anemic child healthcare in Arequipa, Peru. Study design: This is a cross-sectional survey. Participants were asked about their knowledge of childhood anemia, practices related to caring for anemic children, and adherence to treatment. Methods: This is a descriptive, transversal, relational field study. Three hundred mothers with anemic children were interviewed, from six districts of Arequipa, distributed at different geographic altitudes: medium-altitude, great-altitude, and sea level.
