Gradually the urban freight transport to final consumers is gaining relevance worldwide, with a rapid adoption stimulated also by the global health crisis. This also brings to the attention of the world interest regarding its carbon footprint and sustainability; therefore, our objective is to present a review on the diverse ways in which it is proposed to lessen the impact of last mile logistics. For this, a systematic literature review was conducted, using the prism method and the VOS Viewer literature analysis tools. The analysis found a growing interest in the subject, along with proposals in every aspect of the logistics process. This article analyses how the concept of citizenship is addressed in 15 Peruvian cybermedia platforms and how Internet users use this term on the basis of the information published, in order to know the semantic coincidences and differences in media and public agendas. This research was carried out using a mixed method which combines the classical analysis of news’ content, computer analysis of users’ comments and interviews. Among findings validated by media journalists, the little attention paid by platforms to citizens is highlighted, as well as the divergence between the approaches of the senders and users. Some solutions to the abovementioned misunderstanding in this field of unquestionable public interest that affects both public debate and the development of citizens who are aware of their roles in society are proposed.

The increasing urban fragmentation and the lack of a holistic and inclusive vision of large Latin American agglomerations are, at the same time, their main contemporary challenges. The potential and value of community building and the need to include urban self-building that architect John F. C. Turner in his years in Peru described as «housing resources» and «architecture that works» remain unrecognized in the Peruvian urban and territorial planning.Starting from the documentary A Roof of My Own (Turner & Movshon, 1964), filmed by the United Nations on the process of self-construction of El Ermitaño, in the Northern Cone of Lima, in 2016 a memory activation project has begun in the neighborhood. It is the basis of a new documentary entitled City Unfinished. Voices of El Ermitaño (Golda-Pongratz & Flores, 2018), portraying th...

This research explores the relationship between families with a son having Down syndrome (DS) and the school (F-S) from the point of view of the families and public school teachers in a city of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Two instruments were used: semi-structured interviews and a Checklist to characterize the daily shared routine and the relationship between F-S. For parents, the F-S link is evidenced in the parents-students relationship, while for teachers the F-S link is evidence in the parents-teachers relationship. In the interviews, parents indicate that the F-S relationship is fundamental to foster the development of skills for their children. Meanwhile, teachers consider the F-S relationship significant because it favors the schooling process for children with DS or intellectual disabilities, also adding challenges to establish schools with an inclusive approach.

In Peru, scientific journals are in constant growth, as they seek to make visible the scientific work of licensed public universities. In this sense, the objective of this research was to evaluate the historical evolution and future perspectives of scientific journals in Peru. The research was carried out by reviewing the official web pages of each institution, taking into account the official list of universities authorized by the Superintendencia Nacional de Educación Superior Universitaria (SUNEDU). The aim of this paper is to identify the impact of the application of lean tools in the pharmaceutical supply chain (PSC) through a literature review. Supply chain inefficiencies before and during the COVID 19 pandemic, most applied tools, and lean improvements found in the PSC are identified. Databases such as Scopus and Proquest were used to collect the peer-reviewed articles to be studied. Results show the most frequent inefficiencies in the supply chain are found in operating costs, scrap rates, delivery times, and drug shortages. The improvements identified can be summarized in three factors: cost reduction, time reduction, and improvement in the management of activities. The most studied tools are Kaizen, Kanban, Total Quality Management (TQM), and Value Stream Mapping (VSM). Literature reveals that lean tools have a significant impact on quality improvement of information, product...

A permanent challenge in higher education is the development of teaching skills in academics to respond to the new profile of the student, demanding changes in the way teaching is delivered and evaluated. Here we evaluate the perception of university teaching skills from the perspective of students and the institutional perspective provided by teachers, as well as differences by gender, in a sample of 1837 students and 227 academics from a publicuniversity in two regions of south-central Chile. The general results indicate that teachers give greater importance to skills than students. Likewise, while students value skills, generating a pleasant climate in class and innovating in work practices, academics give greater importance to the transmission of knowledge and making evaluations more flexible. Nevertheless, there is agreement between both groups, considering that planning classes is ...

This article addresses the importance of developing an instrument that measures media competence, that is, the set of abilities to interact critically with the media. It introduces the problem of media education in the information society and argues the need to assess the skills of citizens in this context. It approaches this need from three perspectives: the pedagogical challenge that implies the little knowledge of the media competence and its little institutional formalization; the political discourse that privileges educational technology over media education; and the methodological question, analyzed from recent assessments of media competence applied in Spain, Chile and Peru, limited to the self-perception. Finally, we propose the construction of an instrument involving two features: integrative in terms of content, and innovative in terms of methodology.
