The process of searching for truth in research begins in the subjective world of the researcher, in which there is a cognitive debate between the subjective and the objective to be known. In the development of the essay, this type of thinking is explained as a complex movement, philosophically called modus cognoscendi processes, which arises from the anthropological dimension of being and the intersubjective epistemic dimension of being. It consolidates the unveiling, what is experienced in the consciousness of the researcher to reach the truth of the phenomenon under study, in a cognitively co-reflexive act thatinvolves knowing to understand and hermeneutically interpret what is real. The aim of this predictive study was to analyze the degree of influence of study satisfaction (SS) on academic procrastination (AP). One hundred forty- eight (148) psychology students (111 women) between 18 and 32 years old (M = 22.41) were evaluated using the Brief Scale of Study Satisfaction and the Academic Procrastination Scale. After preliminary analyses focused on the scores reliability (α > 0.70) and correlations between dimensions, a regression analysis was performed to determine how much of the variability in the AP dimensions’ scores is explained by the variations in the SS. For that purpose, a method that uses bivariate correlations corrected for attenuation and provides confidence intervals under a bootstrap approach of the associated statistics was applied. Introducción: La elección de estudiar Pedagogía en Educación Física es un proceso complejo, influido por experiencias personales, motivaciones internas y condiciones contextuales que configuran la identidad docente en formación. Objetivo: Comprender los factores que influen en la decisión vocacional de estudiantes que inician su formación en esta carrera. Métodos: Se empleó un enfoque cualitativo con una muestra intencionada de 80 estudiantes del primer semestre de una universidad pública de la región de Valparaíso, Chile. La hipótesis del trabajo, en concordancia con la premisa fundamental de la teoría del caos, es que las condiciones iniciales de una pandemia, en este caso la incidencia hospitalaria, influenciada por la tasa de crecimiento, afectan la previsibilidad de su evolución. A medida que la población relativa de infectados crezca y se combine con tasas de crecimiento mayores, las siguientes expectativas en el tiempo dejarían de obedecer a la esperanza logística, presentándose condiciones caóticas. Desde las nuevas aproximaciones a la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la Historia en la educación básica, la explicación histórica representa uno de los más importantes logros de aprendizaje. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo caracterizar las explicaciones de estudiantes adolescentes frente a un hecho histórico ficticio. Los participantes fueron 16 alumnos de 2º y 5º de secundaria de dos instituciones educativas y dos coordinadores del curso de Historia. Se emplearon tres instrumentos: la prueba “La prosperidad de Tasmania” y dos guías de entrevista semiestructurada. Los resultados mostraron que los adolescentes de 2º de secundaria preferían factores causales para explicar el hecho histórico, mientras que los de 5º de secundaria preferían factores intencionales. The “San Pedro Macho” cacti (Echinopsis peruviana or also known as Trichocereus peruviana) owes its name and importance, in part, to its taxonomical and alkaloid composition similarity to the well-known “San Pedro Hembra” cacti (Echinopsis pachanoi) or commonly referred as “San Pedro”, which is the most important species among the plants used in Traditional Medicine (TM) in Northern Perú. This phytochemical report of an Echinopsis peruviana species cultivated in Perú involves the qualitative analysis of its secondary metabolites, the quantification of the total alkaloid content and the isolation of the alkaloid mescaline, as its sulphate dihydrate salt, of the chlorenchyma in the green outer cortex of the stems of E. peruviana. ESI-MS; 1H, 13C NMR; IR; UV; elemental analysis and TLC techniques were used to characterize this compound.

In this context, the ethnographic method of qualitative research is positioned as a valuable tool to explore and understand the processes and meanings that emerge around psychotherapeutic practice. This approach allows, through the analysis of the particularities of a specific group, to know and analyze how meanings and narratives are constructed in therapeutic contexts. The main objective of this article is to offer a meta-ethnographic narrative review that synthesizes how ethnographic methodologies have been applied to study various aspects of psychotherapy.

The aim of this article is to understand how day-to-day student classroom participation in an ordinary secondary Chilean school contributes to civic education towards democratic competency. The qualitative method adopted an ethnomethological perspective and used participant observation, unstructured interviews and document review techniques, all later analyzed inductively. The results show a lack of definition of classroom participation in institutional documents, sporadic implementation of participating events and a consensual passive role of students in the classroom. It concludes that classroom participation tends to teach students to consider their interactions as interruptions when dealing with their life outside the classroom and illegitimate in their expression, contributing negatively to their development of democratic competency.

The objective of this study was the characterization of the learning strategies of higher education students of a university in Lima. To achieve this purpose, the focus is qualitative, which allows us to interpret the same practice of the students. The methodology of this research, included direct observation and in-depth interviewing, and was aimed at understanding the reasons for practice in certain strategies. The conclusion of the research is that the metacognitive strategies, the processing of information and the control of the context become the fundamental principles at the moment of learning by students.

The architecture of cities currently faces a process of globalization with patterns that are changing urban, social, economic, and cultural structures towards the paradigm of complexity with dynamics in constant interaction, resulting for urban studies an intricate and difficult to understand set. This change requires a systemic vision to recognize both the properties of the object and the behavior of the subjects, around an architectural system, which together add up to more than the whole. Reflection from the academy is important, assuming an interdisciplinary teaching and with an epistemological vision from the global south.
