The principles of this paper are about the problematic that many organizations have, in order to face unexpected events that were never experimented. Furthermore, how severe those events could be for the business continuity. Thus, this study searches for the relation between three concepts: Crisis Management, Live Simulation and Knowledge Management. For those reasons, it purposes to set a group of members from each organization into an experimental scenario that simulates an enterprise in crisis. The idea after the experiment is to accept or reject the usefulness of the simulation as a tool for Crisis Management, likewise, as a dynamic way to share and create knowledge. In order to firm the mission, several theories and assertions are presented -from different authors- in relation to concepts such as, human apprenticeship, crisis, crisis management, simulation, knowledge management and ...

Dictionaries are a list of words, simple or complex, that are treated as entries (lexical items). It is usual to assert several components: the lemma or headword, named after its most neutral form, followed by an indication of the main inflections of its category: genre and number if they are names, syntactic class if they are verbs. Sometimes, indications of it are made in other aspects: etymology, pronunciation, marks of placement, area of use, register, frequency of use, etc.Among all the group, it is pointed out an area that grows daily, painstakingly, in lexicographic works: the pragmatic component. Most of the words are referential (names, verbs, adverbs), but others correspond to language functions like the expressive and appellative ones; for example, interjections. Many words are objective, but some others depend on subjectivity, such as p...

This article analyzes the impact of the instructional redesign of a course aimed at developing written communication skills, implemented in 2018 at a private university in Lima, Peru. The research is framed within the socio-discursive interactionism (SDI) model, which views writing as a situated practice shaped by specific communicative contexts. It also draws on the Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) approach, which promotes writing as a transversal tool across all disciplines, emphasizing its cognitive (Writing to Learn), critical (Writing to Engage), and rhetorical (Writing in the Disciplines) dimensions. The study focused on the rhetorical component, adopting a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-intervention assessments in two groups: experimental and control. The results show a moderate impact on the development of rhetorical competence, reflected in a greater alignment o...

The research related to the practice of tutorial action in university students, aimed to determine the predominant component of tutorial, recognizing that tutorial in the university is gaining value and significance for the benefit of the students, as a support area, orientation and coverage during the educational procedure in its different academic, professional and personal dimensions. The study corresponds to the quantitative approach, deductive hypothetical and substantive method, non-experimental, cross-sectional or transactional and explanatory design, with a population of 2629 students whose representative sample was 335 participants. The results of the same showed that 67% of the students considered that the tutorial action they received was adequate, while 33%, also states that the predominant dimension was the academic development. It is concluded that the tutorial action did h...

The fingerprint orientation field is a widely used feature for developing indexing strategies. Such feature brings stability and decreases the response times during the identification process. The use of attribute relational graphs and dynamic masks can exploit the features provided by the partitioning scheme. The penetration index and the error rate for each of the proposed strategies were determined. To verify the results obtained were used the databases provided by the Fingerprint Verification Competition. Both search schemes reveal the facilities offered by the orientation field for guiding the searching process; reducing the number of comparisons in 53.24%; proving its stability against different fingerprint image qualities. Based on the results, it was proven that the adoption of such indexing strategies will reduce the response time in the identification module proposed by the Ide...

Assessors at General Management of Mining Environmental Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Mines have as an evaluation criterion in environmental impact assessment of mineral exploration that any platform or component must not to be to less than 50 meters of a water body. Otherwise, they don’t approve the project. But, what technical support this common criterion is based? Is it a test that finds no technical basis to excuse his decisions about the evaluation of any environmental study? Or is it a copy of any law in a neighboring country? Water is a vital resource for mining exploration activities, so we must to evaluate carefully how much is it affected during this activity. I think that it is necessary to revalue and propose two or more minimal distances according to the experience and research realized. Let’s not allow that a criterion be imposed when not necessarily it will be...

Owing to the impossibility of explaining the abrupt changes in the Peruvian economy, especially since 1968, using traditional variables (physical capital and workforce), this piece attempts to do so by applying fresh ones (human capital, government spending and real liquidity). These provide an explanation for a substantial part of the function of production in the Peruvian economy between 1960 and 1990. The use of these variables is grounded in the models of growth with endogenous technical progress, which suggest that an economy's growth does not depend on any single factor but a combination of them. The study confirms this fact for readers.

Family gardens (FHs) are traditional agroecosystems located near rural homes, which brings different benefits to peasant families, although their composition varies according to the ways of life and needs of each family. The research aimed to analyze the components and interactions that characterize the HF of the locality of Angangueo, located in the State of Michoacán, Mexico. The following categories of analysis were determined as a methodology: organization and distribution; family work; traditional management practices; use; benefits obtained, through the application of observation cards and interviews with HF owners. The results indicate that HFs lack of a defined structure, but they share general characteristics. They are located at the back of the land and houses, with the presence of ornamental, fruit and medicinal plants, as well as backyard animals. The participation of all me...

An alternative model of well-being and development using an emic and post-hoc approach is presented. This method was applied to a non-educated corridor sample which includes rural and urban shantytowns (n = 550). A psychometric wellbeing battery was developed for this study. Analytical technique includes a modified version of Confirmatory Factor Analysis in order to meet the demands of the post-hoc theorisation rationale. Alternative models of universal needs, subjective life satisfaction, resources, and values are presented. A three factor personality solution is described. Discussion emphasises the advantages of these results compared to theories and approaches from Europe and United States in theoretical and empirical terms. Implications for development are also discussed.

San Pedro de Casta is a peasant community in the province of Huarochirí, Sierra de Lima. In October they celebrate the big champería festival, as a historical continuity of what their ancestors invented. It is a work party, in which all irrigating community members participate, to maintain the irrigation infrastructure, between traditional rituals, music of chirisuyas, tinyas and choral singing of walinas. By ancient tradition, the champería is directed by the ministers, headed by the Principal, who presides over the rituals and supervises the cleaning of canals and reservoirs. The people participate, organized in four stops: Carhuayuma, Cumao Paccha, Yana Paccha and Hualhualcocha.

The chincho (Tagetes elliptica Sm) is an aromatic grass of the mountain range of Peru, normally is used as culinary additive, apart from this curious property, in some cases it is used for therapeut i c aims, whi ch apparent l y demonstrates it possesses other properties. With the aim to extend the information on the functional properties of this vegetable, it was proposed to investigate the antioxidant components: vitamin C and flavonoids, therefore it was proposed the following aims: determine the content of vitamin C (for espectrofotometría), flavonoids 3-hidroxilo in aqueous extracts and etenólico (for espectrofotometría), and the content of catequinas in the leaves of chincho (for HPLC). The results were: Vitamin C is equal to 14,49 mg of ascorbic acid /100g of humid sample; Flavonoids 3-hidroxilo is equal 39,72 mg of galic acid/g of sample and Flavonoids in terms of catequinas i...
