The present article, which derives from a master’s thesis in Linguistics carried out at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, aims to identify the relationship between the identity and attitude of the bilingual inhabitants of the district of Pontó, province of Huari, Ancash region, on the process of extinction of the Quechua language. Two questionnaires were applied to collect information on the identity and attitude towards their native language in people of different ages. The results obtained indicate that Quechua is generally spoken by the elderly, specifically in those over 60 years; consequently, it is threatened and dominated by the growing castellanization in the area of Pontó (Ancash), a similar aspect that occurs in most South American countries with respect to their native languages.

The study of heritage requires new conceptual approaches that contribute to its current theoretical debate, in order to re-nourish the knowledge of different disciplines that address it. In between, richer and more complex crossovers are generated. This article presents the positions of different authors and submits them, especially, to the discussions on rural space, tourism and the logics of land use planning. As axes, work on heritage as a concept, approach, process and attitude is proposed. The conclusions will reveal that it is necessary to expand certain conceptual categories to better cover the heritage of rural areas, as well as a need to rethink tourism in that environment.

The tolerant attitudes towards sexual violence against women constitute an important risk factor that should be considered to explain this type of aggressive behavior. One of the instruments that evaluates these attitudes is the Rape Supportive Attitude Scale (RSAS) developed by Lottes. The results of different psychometric studies have demonstrated good indexes of reliability and validity in American, Spanish and Salvadorian university students. The purpose of the study was to explore the psychometric properties of the RSAS in Argen tinean university students. We provide evidence of content validity through expert ratings, process validity through cognitive debriefing interviews, and evidence of internal structure through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Finally, the internal consistency of the scale was estimated and an analysis of contrasting groups in relation to gende...

Obesity and overweight are problems of malnutrition and public health in the communities and societies of the current era. Stopping and reducing them are immediate objectives of development, which not everyone assumes, especially those affected by their behavior and mentality, which deserves to be known. The study explores the beliefs and attitudes of residents of an urban community, against obesity and overweight, applying a mixed approach, qualitative observational in the first part and quantitative, descriptive, probabilistic by conglomerates, in the second. 240 inhabitants were surveyed, men and women from 18 to 70 years old; and 2456 people of all ages were observed. The analysis triangulates the information collected through surveys, interviews and observations. Individual and collective experiences were very unique in the processes of socialization, nutrition and social mobility; ...

The aim of this review is to highlight the importance of a favorable attitude toward research in the process of elaboration of the university thesis. Attitude is a predisposition to accept or not an object. Its three components such asbeliefs (cognitive), feelings and emotions (affective) and behavioral dispositions or behavior (behavioral), allowedthrough its properties as direction and intensity, show if the attitude is assumed to be positive or negative, as wellas favorable or unfavorable, in this case to the investigation. In that sense the attitude toward scientific research is apredisposition that precedes the process of conducting a thesis, and since the behavior depends on the bias, conducive to a positive attitude that problems are addressed systematically, that the information and ideas critically evaluateit, becoming possible to effectively deal with the process of doing a the...

Workshops on clarifying values and transformation of attitudes (CVTA) are useful in eliminating some of the access barriers to quality services for women in situation of abortion, barriers that derive from erroneous information, women and health care providers’ stigmatization, negative attitudes, and obstructionist behavior. Access barriers to safe abortion and post abortion services that follow lawful directions in Latin America are well documented. CVTA is one of various strategies used to assure women accessing services to obtain care quality they deserve. CVTA’s conceptual framework is based on programmed behavior theory and includes some of its elements: values theory and the three main stages of the clarifying values process. In order to be able to participate efficaciously in the clarifying values process with respect to abortion, one should be able to acquire new information,...
