The olive industry (OI) generates large quantities of contaminated wastewater, especially during the alkaline treatment of green olives, posing an environmental problem due to the high levels of organic matter, phenolic compounds, and salts present in these effluents. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of two treatments, adsorption with activated carbon and Fenton reagent, to reduce biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) in OI wastewater. Samples were collected from three affected zones in Tacna, Peru, and both treatments were applied using different reagent concentrations. The analysis included measuring BOD5 and COD before and after the treatments, followed by statistical tests to validate the results. Climate change, as well as the appearance of pests and diseases, are affecting olive plantations (Olea europaea L.) and the production of olives in the world, therefore, there is an urgent need for tools to help us identify the spatial and temporal evolution of the olive groves, regarding the attack of pests, in this case, the Orthezia olivicola and the olive borer Phloeotribus scarabaeoides. In this work, we use information from freely available satellite images that allowed us to carry out spatial and temporal analysis and the combination of vegetation indices. In this study the work of induction of microbial carbonate genesis was carried out in order to obtain an improvement in the consolidation of the materials used in construction such as mortars and paving stones, in order to confer them greater resistance and conservation. As a result of the tests carried out, it was found that the inclusion of a bacterial biomass culture formed by bacteria of the genus Bacillus sp., in the formulation of the mortar and paving stones, helped to increase the resistance to compression with Fc values. 266.3 kg/cm2 higher compared to the control of Fc 261.0 kg/cm2. The main objective of this research was to show the predictive model implementation effects adjusted to grinding process on the economic profitability of a rice milling company. In first instance, quality and production area database was used to model a multiple regression equation, using the “Step by Step” technique in Minitab 19, resulting in: Actual Performance = 0.001 + 0.9317Hest Analysis - 0.000339 Processed Sacks; Predictive R2 = 95.81% and PRESS = 47.5168; concluding that the model fits the process, it is significant and has good predictive capacity. The present study evaluated the removal of lignin from the rice husk, by means of steam explosion at different severity conditions. The process of lignin removal was evaluated as lignin Klason was performed in samples with pretreatment at pressures of 0.4; 0.6; 0.8 and 1.0 MPa, times of 6, 8, 10 and 12 minutes with a decompression of between 5 to 7 seconds; it is a lignin removal from 18.02 % up to 12.7 % at 1.0 MPa and 12 min compression, factor of 3.3 severity. En este estudio, se examinó el proceso de pilado de arroz, para aumentar la productividad. Este análisis implicó evaluar la situación actual de la empresa, donde se identificaron los indicadores relacionados con la productividad, producción y la eficiencia en el uso de la materia prima. La productividad global se estimó en 0,207 sacos de arroz pilado/soles. Se determinó las distintas etapas, utilizando un diagrama de análisis del proceso. Se identificó el cuello de botella, que era la etapa de secado, que se realiza de forma artesanal y requería un tiempo de 2,49 minutos/ sacos de arroz pilado; con una eficiencia física del 57,23%. This pest identification project using remote sensing with an unmanned aerial vehicle will show the scope that can be achieved in the field of agriculture and that are being used. The project has as its first stage the custom conditioning of the unmanned aerial vehicle composed of a flight structure and a camera system which will allow us to acquire data, in this case aerial images. Once the air vehicle is conditioned, the flight plans for the acquisition of images are established. This stage is delimited by the olive cultivation area that we want to evaluate. Once the conditioning has been completed and after executing the flight plans, the images are processed under two algorithm models, the results of which will eventually be interpreted in search of the identification of pests in the cultivation of the olive tree.
