When we refer to pain, we are faced with an unpleasant sensation that causes certain reactions in the human body that prevent its production, so it is of vital importance to understand what the symptomatology of pain is, how it is produced and how it can be avoided. production, there are cases where the pain becomes pathological where found in the patient's thoughts, therefore the present work tries to demonstrate that its production can be avoided in the face of intense painful situations that occur when working in the recovery of the mobility of the patient. articulation of the knee, which by its nature is painful, added to the fear of feeling pain on the part of the patient does not help the patient's recovery, the experimentation consists of taking the pain from the approach of not thinking about it and relaxing and evaluating it by an environment of cerebral analysis through the lev...

The need to develop a BCI brain- computer interface system for the   control   of   a   robotic   arm   in   Peru   arises   from   the   possibility   of interconnecting the human nervous system with a robotic or mechatronic system, and using this concept to recover some motor function.   Brain   Computer   Interface   (BCI)   is   a   communication   system  based  on  the  recording  of  brain  signals  (EEG).  The electroencephalogram is the basis and support of the BCI technology. It is a novel technology that allows human-machine interaction in a virtual or physical environment, through a communication channel between the central nervous system and a robotic device. In recent years,  the  aforementioned  systems  have  caused  the  interest  of important research centers worldwide.

The following essay introduces a number of researches, reflections, and quotes extremely relevant onareas such as neuroscience, pedagogy and psychology. Each area specializes in certain subjects but,in some moment, they meet and share common ground, nourish each other and help us understandmore and more the complex world of knowledge, the functioning of the brain and the human behavior. Our concern today is the decline of the word, reading and its possibilities, as well as the increase ofmedia interests such as the television that has deeply depreciated in the last three decades. We believethat certain trendy practices today have not contributed to improve our production and intellectuality;instead, said practices have led to an alarming mental impoverishment easy to observe in teenagers(even undergraduate students) and children. We will start recalling some general discoveries in the fiel...

The paper analyzes the case of Adriana Smith, a pregnant woman who suffered brain death in Georgia, USA, and whose body was kept on life support to preserve the fetus despite her family’s opposition. From the perspective of Peruvian law, it examines the legal definition of death (irreversible cessation of brain activity) and the legal nature of the corpse as a sui generis object, protected by post-mortem rights derived from prior personality. It highlights that, in Peru, the unborn is recognized as a legal subject from conception, with special protection of life, constitutionally and legally acknowledged. Article 10 of the Civil Code allows the use of corpses to prolong human life, requiring that the family be informed but without needing their consent. Thus, preserving pregnancy through the maintenance of bodily functions would be legally valid, although it entails a delicate balance ...

The study of Neuroscience and The seven Learnings introduce Neuroscience as the new paradigm that enables to analyze and explain the intelligent human behavior. The discoveries found in this field have been shown not only in the theory but in the pedagogical practice as well. In the first case, one of the most recent theories about intelligent behavior has been conceived from the perspective of neuroscience (science that studies HUMAN BRAIN). (Beauport and Diaz, 1994) This study has given more relevance to the relation between the function of the brain and human behavior as well as the conditions that lead to an efficient teaching – learning process. In this context, we introduce The seven Learnings, described by Edgar Morin that state central problems which have been ignored and that are necessary in order to reach a successful teachinglearning process in this century. These seven Lea...

The relationship between executive functions (EF), creative personality, and academic performance in Argentine university students was examined. A total of 248 students (M = 22.97 years, SD = 4.43) from various Argentine provinces participated. The Adult Executive Functioning Inventory (ADEXI), the Cognitive Flexibility Scale, the Creative Behavior Scale (ECC), and the Creative Personality Scale (EPC) were used, along with academic performance data and sociodemographic information. Data were collected online through Google Forms and analyzed using Spearman correlations and mediation analysis with robust Maximum Likelihood estimator and Bootstrap. Cognitive flexibility exhibited the most robust correlation with grade point average (r = .281, p < .001), followed by working memory difficulties (r = -.234, p < .001). Creative personality correlated positively with grade point average (...

Dementia associated to human immunodeficiency virus infection (DHIV) is an entity distinguished by three main signs -cognitive, behavioral and motor symptoms- which generate serious difficulties in the functional capacity of the patient. The multiple denominations generate confusion and diagnostic difficulties. In spite of controversy in DHIV incidence, it is clear that more than 90% of patients with AIDS has compatible neuropathological anormalities with DHIV. The pathogenic mechanisms involve complex interactions between the HIV and the brain cells generating two inclusive paths, inflammatory and non inflammatory, that produce neurotoxic and chemotactic factors, inductors of apoptosis that lead to neuro-glial disruption probably responsible of injury and/or neuron cell death, that finally would lead to accelerated neurodegeneration phenomenon. Symptoms are subcortical dementia, mental ...

The aim of the present study is to analyze the role of the gut microbiotain the progression of Parkinson's disease by performing a literature review. Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease caused by the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra (pars compacta). The frequency of the disease varies with age and gender, being more common in men over 60 years of age. The main cause of neuronal death is unknown and may be related to degenerative processes such as mitochondrial dysfunction, a-synuclein aggregation, altered autophagy, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress or dysregulation of intracellular calcium homeostasis. The gut microbiota is an integral part of the human organism and contributes to many physiological processes, including immune defense. The interaction between the gut microbiota and the central nervous system (CNS) is known as the microbiota-gut...

The Covid-19 pandemic is generating a great psychological impact on university students and the general population, with the family being an important social support element. The objective of this study was to characterize the psychological impact of social isolation in students of a Public University in Lima. The study employed anon-probabilistic sample of 3,960 students, between 16 and 40 years old, where 40.2%were men and 59.8% women. The Scales of Positive and Negative Emotions (PANAS) and Family Functionality-APGAR were applied. The results indicate that the psychological impact was reflected through positive emotions (alert, interested and attentive) and negative emotions (scared, upset and uneasy). It was also found that the family functioning in the context of confinement reflected that the evaluated shared the problems of the house, as well as spending time in the family. Finall...

RESUMEN Athrough your brain, voracious killers are coursing through your veins, and corrosive chemicals sizzle in bubbles from your head to your toes. In fact, your entire body is like an electrical company, chemical factory, transportation grid, communications network, detoxification facility, hospital, and battlefield all rolled into one. The workers in each of these industries are your cells. Cells are the smallest form of life—the functional and structural units of all living things. Your body contains trillions of cells, organized into more than 200 major types.
