This is a comparative correlational research aimed to investigate the predictability of speed reading and cognitive processes in syntactic and semantic levels when making inferences; also to find their relationships and to compare each with the type of school management and the age in 304 students in 4th and 5th grades in primary school in the districts of Los Olivos, Comas, San Juan de Lurigancho, San Martin de Porres and Carabayllo, located in Lima, Peru. The research is a comparative method, transversal. It had the pur¬pose to compare the goals and motivations in choosing a profes¬sional career in 347 students of university first terms in Kinder¬garten Education, Primary Education, and Languages, all of them in a range of 20 to 22 years old. An instrument with three versions was elaborated, based on the theoretical framework proposed by Gámez y Marrero (2003). The evidences confirm significant dif¬ferences in the goals and motivations; these differences are more noticeable between students of the careers of Primary Education and Languages (sig. <.001), and between Kindergarten Education and Languages (sig.<.001). Finally, the goals and motivations were largely differentiated according to the gender (sig.<. 005), being the average for women (prom.=139.3/sig.<.005).

La elastografía por ultrasonido es una técnica de imagen no invasiva cuyo objetivo es brindar información acerca de la elasticidad de los tejidos biológicos evaluando sus propiedades biomecánicas. Proporciona información valiosa sobre su rigidez, la cual está relacionada a los cambios biomecánicos ocasionados por condiciones patológicas. Esto la convierte en una herramienta valiosa para el diagnóstico y el seguimiento del tratamiento de enfermedades como el cáncer. Uno de los métodos de elastografía cuantitativa se basa en el uso de dos fuentes de vibración para generar un patrón de interferencia en el tejido. ABSTRACT The effect of a program to improve reading speed and comprehension was assessed in students from a private peruvian university, for which a quasi-experimental design of longitudinal pretest-postest type was developed and using a protocol based on a methodology of reading program fast, study and memory, was selected for a total sample of 1181 college freshmen from Universidad Privada del Norte (UPN) who were studying on the 2014-II academic semester. Results show a statistically significant increase on reading speed, but not in reading comprehension; furthermore, the practical effect of the program is moderate. It is concluded that the program had a positive moderate effect on reading speed; however, it was not an effective proposal to improve reading comprehension.

A quasi-experimental study was carried out with the objective of determining the effect of a neuropsychological intervention program on academic skills in reading, writing and mathematics in a group of first grade girls and boys of primary school at the Cadena Las Playas educational institution. municipality of Apartadó, Antioquia, Colombia, aged between 5 and 6 years, belonging to a low socioeconomic condition. En esta investigación se diseña y evalúa un formato digital de lectura de cuentos en el cual el texto se mueve a una velocidad que cada niño o niña puede regular según su capacidad lectora. El formato, denominado Correpalabras, consiste en una aplicación digital que busca promover la lectura en el hogar aprovechando los teléfonos móviles de los padres de familia. Para la evaluación empírica del formato se diseñó un prototipo inicial que fue validado individualmente con 36 alumnos de segundo grado de educación primaria. Después se desarrolló un prototipo mejorado y se implementó una prueba piloto focalizada en 150 colegios públicos. Climate change has had a negative impact on Andean glaciers, especially on the snow-capped Huascaran in Peru, which has experienced a loss of 42 % of its glacier mass. Lack of access to accurate snowpack data complicates understanding and informed decision-making in mountainous environments. To address this problem, an application has been developed based on an AR-IoT architecture that integrates augmented reality (AR) and the Internet of Things (IoT) for the periodic monitoring of snow cover on the Huascaran snow-capped mountain. For many countries telemedicine was speedily adopted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, though for some countries telemedicine may have been implemented in a context of limited regulations or few plans or strategies to scale quickly. This article recounts how telemedicine was developed in Peru as a measure to support the country's Universal Health Coverage and service access to rural and locations with low workforce numbers and its deployment. From a range of data, we find that Peru's development of telehealth began before the pandemic, which by 2020 was sufficient to be able to foster a rapid and wider deployment and while the telemedicine service volumes quickly grew from the pandemic onset, these numbers then begin to reduce suggesting that telemedicine was considered more as a pandemic emergency measure rather than a change to the mix of health provision. En esta investigación se abordó la problemática en torno a la sobrecarga procesal y su afectación al principio de celeridad en los procesos de pensión de alimentos en el Juzgado de Paz Letrado de la Banda de Shilcayo, 2018-2020, para lo cual se analizó la literatura jurídica en la materia y se realizaron entrevistas a una muestra seleccionada de profesionales jurídicos; además se se analizaron veinte expedientes de procesos alimenticios en esta jurisdicción. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo principal comprobar la mejora de los predictores de la lectura en niños de primer grado de una Institución Educativa Estatal del distrito de La Victoria a través de la adaptación del programa “Leito, preparémonos para la lectura”. El diseño es cuasiexperimental en donde la muestra está conformada por cuarenta estudiantes, además se utiliza como instrumento de evaluación el Test de Habilidades Prelectoras (THP) y el sub test de la prueba ALE para la denominación de figuras y de esa manera, conocer el nivel de dominio de los predictores en los niños antes del inicio de la lectura. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar si existe diferencia en el desarrollo de la conciencia fonológica y la velocidad de denominación entre los estudiantes de primer grado de primaria de una institución educativa pública y una privada del distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho.
