Branded content in its informative modality is based on publications that imitate the style and character of editorial content, trying to make its sponsored status go unnoticed by the audience. This research aims to analyse the journalistic quality of these publications through two specific objectives. Firstly, a qualitative methodological proposal is developed to evaluate these sponsored contents. This index considers ten fundamental criteria of journalistic quality and assigns a rating (<10) on a four-level scale (poor, minimal, good and excellent). Secondly, the index is applied to a sample of items published during one month (N=372) in six of the main Spanish digital media. The results reveal minimal standards in informative branded content. Only one of the six analysed media meets the standards of good quality, with a rating of 6.8, while the rest show poor levels of journalistic...

Branded content creation is seeing a surge in response to the gradual loss of effectiveness of conventional advertising. This paper analyzes the degree of suitability of the radio medium for the development of the branded content technique, in contrast to podcasting, from the perspective of professionals in both sectors. To this end, exploratory research is proposed, through a methodological triangulation. Specifically, open interviews are conducted with 6 managerial professionals linked to these media, which are completed with a survey of 50 professionals from the radio company and a content analysis of the advertising rates in force in 2023 of the 31 generalist and thematic stations included in the General Media Study. The research shows that, at a formal level, despite the obstacles experienced in terms of the commercialization of the technique, radio is a valid medium for branded con...

In the field of education and technology companies, online judges play an important role in the development of programming skills because on these platforms students must solve challenges using specific programming languages. However, the sheer number of coding challenges available can be overwhelming for students, leading to frustration and loss of interest. To resolve this situation, recommender systems can be an effective solution. However, programming judges have not delved far enough into this area. Therefore, this research focused on evaluating six artificial intelligence techniques through a cloud-based architecture for the prediction of the level of difficulty from the statements of the problems to be coupled to a recommendation system. To validate the experiments, a real CodeChef programming judge was used and the experiments were evaluated through statistical tests. The results...

A software to appreciate the performance of the Hopfield’s Neural Network (Associative Content-Addressable Memory) has been developed and applied to computer synthesized images. A rather small network has been created and applied to four sets of training-remembrances. The software allows the user to become familiar with associative memory computer simulations, it also provides knowledge on the work of a neural net, hence this computer program may be used as a training tool (teach - learn) on neural networks. This software makes evident that a straightforward application of neural networks is in the field of pattern recognition and image reconstruction; it also serves as an introduction to more advanced and complex neural nets. This report is aimed at understanding the performance and potentials of a neural network, it may also foster the interest of students in cybernetics. The Hopfiel...

With the spread of COVID-19 around the world, a large number of hoaxes or false and out of context news are also spreading. In the moment, the studies that have been carried out regarding the topic have mainly focused on single-territory research. For this reason, we consider it pertinent to widen the spectrum and observe the behaviour of more than just one country. More specifically, the present study compiles a comparative analysis between Spain and Italy regarding fake contents and the diverse elements that have come into play in the media during the first months of the new type of coronavirus in Europe. To do this, we have used the fact checking platforms Maldita.es and Open. Once the information was collected, we created our own database systematizing the following five elements: type, broadcasting platform, format, general topic, and discursive axis. With the objective of having an...
