To apply a Quality Management System (QMS) in small business, is a worth experience and also it is an example for others in Peru. This is the reason why we describe this experience that is due to a work done to implement the QMS ISO 9001:2008 with an emphasis on production, in a small company of industrial garment, being this, the first in the country to certify in that field. The article points out the requirements and the proper procedure to be followed by a small industrial clothing company to achieve a successful implementation in their organizations and obtain the certification.

Objective: to describe availability of pediatric cardiovascular surgeons and to identify factors influencing accreditation for this specialty in Peru. Materials and methods: this is a cross-sectional and descriptive study. A discriminating exponential snowball sampling procedure was performed in pediatric cardiovascular surgeons working in the Peruvian National Cardiovascular Institute. This was carried out in April 2019. Their participation was requested and virtual surveys were carried out. Data collected from closed questions were processed using descriptive statistics. Data from open questions were processed on the basis of their systematization, order, and relationship, so conclusions could be drawn. Results: twenty surgeons were surveyed. This paper examines how implementing an Engineering Processes Laboratory (extrinsic factors) led to the non-dissatisfaction of Industrial Engineering students with the quality of teaching in said course. The study used the factor 10-SINEACE (National System of Evaluation, Accreditation and Certification of Educational Quality) and Herzberg’s theory to measure this impact. This measurement was performed on a representative sample of students of the Engineering Processes course through a laboratory test. Data was collected on the laboratory equipment requirements and students’ needs and was then analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U statistical test. The results showed that the teaching quality was “not dissatisfactory”, providing statistical evidence of the positive impact of the Engineering Process Laboratory.

Objetivo: describir la disponibilidad de los cirujanos cardiovasculares pediátricos e identificar los factores que influyen en la situación de la certificación de esta subespecialidad en el Perú.Materiales y métodos: estudio transversal y descriptivo. Se realizó un muestreo por bola de nieve discriminatorio exponencial partiendo de los cirujanos cardiovasculares pediátricos que trabajan en el Instituto Nacional Cardiovascular hacia abril, 2019. La raíz del problema se encuentra en el ingreso manual de datos desde el Core del banco, lo que aumenta el riesgo de errores humanos en los váuchers contables.
