This work studies the dependence of Cs-137 root uptake on the structure of landscape, especially on the properties of soils, under controlled conditions. Researches were carried out at various levels of Cs-137 contamination (from 20 up 1000 kBq/m²), with five different types of soils, which differ in texture and granulometric composition. The results showed that transfer factor (TF) values of Cs-137 differ 5 times for the natural grassy coenoses. The correlation between Cs-137 TF values and granulometric composition of soil was determined for both automorphic and hydromorphic mineral soils.

This research aimed to evaluate the effect of the addition of vitamin C in the diet of turkeys reared in a natural hypoxic environment (high Andean zone of Peru, 2750 masl), on productive performance, hematological values, stress status and immune function. One-day-old Hybrid Converter turkeys were assigned to 5 groups of 5 replicates. The birds of the 5 groups were fed a basal diet supplemented with 0 (control group), 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 mg/kg of vitamin C for 91 days. Vitamin C decreased heterophile / lymphocyte levels (p < 0.05). Compared to the control group, vitamin C at a level greater than or equal to 1000 mg / kg decreased bird mortality (p < 0.05), reduced the stress indicator (p < 0.05), increased the antibody titer (p < 0.05), but did not improve growth parameters (p > 0.05). Technological innovation in the control of myoelectric prostheses is essential for improving the functionality of people with motor disabilities. This study aimed to design and implement a non-invasive system for acquiring electromyographic (EMG) signals to classify basic upper limb movements using neural networks. The experimental methodology included hardware design, subject preparation, and EMG signal capture in three hand states (extended, relaxed, and closed). Disposable electrodes with conductive gel were placed on the forearm muscles, and a SichyRay board was used to amplify and digitize signals at 1 kHz and 10 bits. The aim of the study was to propose a mathematical model with bias and coefficients of influence in the theoretical relationship of scientific thought: analysis from the larval bio-regulator Gambusia punctata Poey, 1854. The study was conducted between January and April 2024. The mathematical model is based on the independent variable (-Vi), the dependent variable (-Vd), a control coefficient (m), and an exponential function (e-Vd). The relationship between executive functions (EF), creative personality, and academic performance in Argentine university students was examined. A total of 248 students (M = 22.97 years, SD = 4.43) from various Argentine provinces participated. The Adult Executive Functioning Inventory (ADEXI), the Cognitive Flexibility Scale, the Creative Behavior Scale (ECC), and the Creative Personality Scale (EPC) were used, along with academic performance data and sociodemographic information. Data were collected online through Google Forms and analyzed using Spearman correlations and mediation analysis with robust Maximum Likelihood estimator and Bootstrap. This article analyzes the legal nature of the Joint Venture contract, highlighting its essential elements and characteristics. The Joint Venture is defined as an associative contract by which two or more persons associate to exploit a common business for a determined period of time, sharing profits and losses in a joint and unlimited manner. In addition, the elements that characterize it are addressed: the plurality of subjects, the affectio societatis, the profit motive, the participation in the losses and the personal nature of the associates. The continuous exposure of human beings to this highly toxic compound may damage their nervous system. The present work reports the development and application of a novel electrochemical sensing technique for the quantification of MeHg using a modified carbon paste electrode with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) combined with ion imprinted polymer, which is highly selective toward MeHg (CPE/MWCNTs/IIP-MeHg) detection.
