The current study relates to designing a swarming computational paradigm to solve the influenza disease system (IDS). The nonlinear system’s mathematical form depends upon four classes: susceptible ndividuals, infected people, recovered individuals and cross-immune people. The solutions of the IDS are provided by using the artificial neural networks (ANNs) together with the swarming computational paradigm-based particle swarm optimization (PSO) and interior-point scheme (IPA) that are the global and local search approaches. The ANNs-PSO-IPA has never been applied to solve the IDS. Instead a merit function in the sense of mean square error is constructed using the differential form of each class of the IDS and then optimized by the PSOIPA. The correctness and accuracy of the scheme are observed to perform the comparative analysis of the obtained IDS results with the Adams solutions (ref...

Artificial intelligence and the evolution of social networks have allowed the appearance of virtual influencers with human appearance, especially on Instagram. These can be defined as computer-designed figures that show an image like humans on social networks. This article applies an exploratory-descriptive design that aims to analyze, through a qualitative study that follows the case method, the definition of what human-looking virtual influencers are and how they act on Instagram. In addition, it’s also been analyzed how these figures work when working with brands as advertising resources. The results of this study reveal the way in which these figures behave and allow brands to understand their functioning as powerful supports for business communication. In addition, we provide a first study instrument through two analysis sheets that are based on literature and observation of the p...

This work was carried out by the importance of providing insights into the nano-based drug delivery of anticancers. To this aim, a representative model of aluminum nitride (AN) nanocage scaffold and two of its boron and gallium doped forms (BAN and GAN) were investigated towards the adsorption of thiotepa (Tep) anticancer. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to evaluate the stabilized structures and their corresponding electronic features. The results indicated the contribution of N-head and S-head of Tep to interactions with each scaffold resulting six complexes; NTep@AN and STep@AN, NTep@BAN and STep@BAN, NTep@GAN and STep@GAN. In each complex model, the characteristic features were obtained based on the interactions details and frontier molecular orbitals related features. In this regard, the investigated scaffolds were found suitable for adsorbing the Tep subs...

Cotton is a resilient and multipurpose crop, meeting major of the world’s textile needs while also yielding byproducts like edible oil and animal feed. Starch plays a crucial role in cotton fabric production. It enhances fabric strength by forming a protective film around cotton fibers, making them more resistant to wear and tear. BES1 (brassinosteroid insensitive 1) is a key regulator in brassinosteroid signaling. It controls thousands of target genes involved in development processes. Interestingly, two β-amylase proteins (BAM7 and BAM8) are part of the BES1 family, despite their primary function as β-amylases. β-Amylase (BAM) and BES1 are two gene families with functional and regulatory roles in controlling shoot growth and development by mediating brassinosteroid effects. They share similar domains and participate in various biological processes, tolerance and responses to ...

We presented a generalization of the delay-and-sum beamforming based on the Dirac-Delta functions but with nonlinear argument. For this end, a closed-form expression of the beampattern mathcal{B}(r)=\sum\nolimits-{k,q}w(k,q,r)x(k,q,r) with r = r(θ), was derived. This expression is computationally simulated through an algorithm that includes integer-order Bessel input functions and random noise. The 4M+N model parameters provided by the Dirac-Delta method are extracted by using a Monte-Carlo-like step which selects the best values for B(r) minimizing the Monte-Carlo error for Δθ = 0.5% for the case of beam response of θ0=30 degrees. These results might sustain the fact that beamforming techniques can use Dirac-Delta functions for modeling arrival signal even in those cases where strong nonlinearity is involved.

In this paper, we have performed a closed-form calculation of the radiation pattern of a base station antenna by using Ad Hoc Bessel-Fourier expansion. Once the coordinates system is fixed, we proceed to derived the magnetic potential vector underlining the complex part which is subsequently expanded in a Bessel-Fourier series. Since the radiation intensity is proportional to the square of the polar component of electric field, we used the well-known relation vec{E} \approx \vec{\nabla}\times \vec{\nabla} \times \vec{A} It gives capabilities to apply antenna data to the resulting closed-form expression for obtaining numerical estimations of the possible exposure levels. For this end, we measured the specific absorption radiation (SAR) to evaluate and discard possible effects of contamination by antenna radiation in the vicinity of the emission source. For a source of 2.0 GHz and 1.5 Vm-1...

This article proposes the design of an autonomous navigation system intended for Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) in the form of catamarans with differential propulsion, whose primary function is the collection of plastic waste in aquatic environments such as seas and lakes. The fundamental goal of this system is to optimize the operational capabilities of the USVs by increasing their navigational autonomy, consequently reducing the costs associated with their operation and production. In this context, the vehicle has been mathematically modeled, and a navigation system composed of four essential components has been established. The first component involves heading control, which utilizes GPS and IMU to estimate the orientation of the USV. The second component is the obstacle avoidance system, which employs a lidar sensor. The third component is a collection system that relies on a compu...

The use of computational methods that allow us to perform characterization on new compounds is not a novelty; nevertheless, the degree of complexity of the structures makes their study more challenging since new techniques and methods are required to adjust to the new structural model. The case of nuclear magnetic resonance characterization of boronate esters is fascinating because of its widespread use in materials science. In this paper, we use density functional theory to characterize the structure of the compound 1-[5-(4,5-Dimethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl) thiophen2-yl] ethanonea by means of nuclear magnetic resonance. We studied the compound in its solid form with the PBE–GGA and PBEsol–GGA functionals, with a set of plane wave functions and an augmented wave projector, which included gauge in CASTEP and its molecular structure with the B3LYP functional using the package Gaussia...

Presentamos ejemplos ...

This paper presents a static analysis of laminated composite doubly-curved shells using refined kinematic models with polynomial and non-polynomial functions recently introduced in the literature. To be specific, Maclaurin, trigonometric, exponential and zig-zag functions are employed. The employed refined models are based on the equivalent single layer theories. A simply supported shell is subjected to different mechanical loads, specifically: bi-sinusoidal, uniform, patch, hydrostatic pressure and point load. The governing equations are derived from the Principle of Virtual displacement and solved via Navier-Type closed form solutions. The results are compared with results from Layer-wise solutions and different higher order shear deformation theories available. It is shown that refined models with non-polynomial terms are able to accurately predict the through-the-thickness displaceme...

We compute the integral of monomials of the form x^2β over the unit sphere and the unit ball in R^n where β = (β1, . . . , βn) is a multi–index with real components βk > −1/2, 1 ≤ k ≤ n, and discuss their asymptotic behavior as some, or all, βk → ∞. This allows for the evaluation of integrals involving circular and hyperbolic trigonometric functions over the unit sphere and the unit ball in Rn. We also consider the Fourier transform of monomials xα restricted to the unit sphere in Rn, where the multi–indices α have integer components, and discuss their behaviour at the origin.

The purpose of this work was to analyze the working memory like a cognitive model envolved in lexical tasks and individual differentiation on capacity of Reading. The subjects were 163 students of public and particular schools. In this study we elaborated a new “reading span test” agreement with suggestions from Daneman and Carpenter (1980), adapted to children students. That instrument was correlated with the subtest of Number from WISC, inverted form. The validity assessment between both tests was made with Spearman’s coefficient of correlation. The consequence of that assessment showed rRHO = 0,47; it should prove both tests contain the function of processing (or computation) proper of the working memorysystem. Then, that “reading span test” is an adequate instrument to measure individual differences about capacity of reading only in similar subjects like those we studied.

In type-II diabetes patients, the renal damage can be triggered by the abundance of glucose for large periods. This leads a continuous flux of proteins through the inner kidneys layers that ends in the urine formation zone. Being the albumin one of these proteins and characterized by their size, the role of their negative charge electric might be a solid reason to deplete the charge along the podocytes as well as exerting electric forces on nefrin, therefore podocytes would be loosing their main functionalities as protector shield against giant proteins. In this paper we present a theoretical model based on the well-known Poissons equations and their closed-form solutions. Finally, from the angle of Physics, the renal damage can be perceived as formation of nano currents as consequence of the lost of charges on the podocytes.
