The human development and quality of life of the Colombian designer in light of the Comprehensive Policy for the Creative Economy promoted by the Colombian state are analyzed in this article. Following what is established by the capabilities approach, a reflection is made about the attention that Public Policy has on the functioning and capabilities that allow Colombian designers to improve their quality of life through their professional activity. Thanks to the analysis of multiple legal documents under the capabilities approach, it is concluded that the lack of attention to the person and their professional circumstances is a great gap in the state strategy that must be filled in a timely manner, particularly the central capacity of Affiliation.

Paracoccidioidomycosis is a systemic mycosis, endemic to Latin America, caused by the dimorphicfungus Paracoccidioides spp., mainly acquired through the inhalation of spores present in theenvironment. The burnout syndrome is an occupational health indicator that intervenes in the teaching-learning process and may harm the quality of education offered by institutions. The relationship between individual characteristics and the work environment may have different effects over the teaching performance. The current investigation seeks to analyze the fit of a model to predict teaching performance based on the teacher burnout, while including individual characteristics and the work environment perception in university teachers. In Mexico, a high percentage of young people experience symptoms of generalized anxiety, which are associated with difficulties in executive functions (EF). However, previous studies have shown inconsistent results, as they often rely solely on either objective or subjective measures. Therefore, this study focused on analyzing the relationship between generalized anxiety and EF using both a neuropsychological battery and a self-report questionnaire, in order to provide a more comprehensive understanding of cognitive functioning in adolescents. Prosperity, according to Jackson (Prosperity without growth: economics for a finite planet, Earthscan, Oxford, 2009), is built on Amartya Sen’s notion of capabilities for flourishing. Then, in the pursuit of understanding the role of housing as an enabler of capabilities for the achievement of prosperity, this paper investigates the gaps in the views/concepts of housing through comparisons of the ten central capabilities, the right to adequate housing, and meanings of home.
