The aim of the present work was to optimize the sensorial and technological features of ice cream. The experimental work was performed in two stages: 1) optimization of lactose enzymatic hydrolysis, and 2) optimization of the process and product. For the first stage a complete factorial design was developed, optimized using both response surface and the steepest ascent method. In the second stage a mixture design was performed, combining the process variables. The product with the best sensorial acceptance, high yield and low cost was selected. The acceptance of the product was developed by an untrained taster’s panel. As a main result the sensorial and technological features of the final product were improved, establishing the optimum parameters for its elaboration.

We evaluate the performance of an Omnivision OV5647 CMOS image sensor (5 Mp) for detecting radiation from Sr90 and Cs137 sources. Our experimental setup uses a Raspberry Pi 3 mini-computer for data acquisition, with image processing using Python and OpenCV libraries. We specify the necessary settings to convert a standard camera into a particle detector sensitive to electrons and photons, including a two-step background filtering procedure. In addition, we implement the first detailed Geant4 simulation that describes the layered geometry and material composition of a commercial CMOS sensor along with the radioactive sources. This study aims to design and validate a nutritional recipe for a snack made of Green Banana (Musa paradisiaca) Peel Flour (GBPF) and to assess the nutritional composition and microbiological quality of the flour. Banana peel, a food industry by-product, is a nutritious, low-cost material available for all year. Banana peel flower could be used as a functional ingredient due to its high fiber content and good functional properties. In general, university students have a deficient dietary fiber intake due to altered dietary patterns; thus, this study was focused on this population. The valorization and use of lignocellulosic biomass from food processing to obtain value-added products is crucial to improve sustainability and reduce waste management costs. This potential for cost reduction is a reason for optimism, as it allows agro-industrial waste to be transformed into valuable resources, contributing to the circular economy. This study focused on the compositional and structural characterization of eleven types of lignocellulosic biomass (LCB) to evaluate their potential in producing nanopolysaccharides and polyhydroxyalkanoates. In this paper, a three-dimensional numerical solution for the bending study of laminated composite doubly-curved shells is presented. The partial differential equations are solved analytically by the Navier summation for the midsurface variables; this method is only valid for shells with constant curvature where boundary conditions are considered simply supported. The partial differential equations present different coefficients, which depend on the thickness coordinates. A semi-analytical solution and the so-called Differential Quadrature Method are used to calculate an approximated derivative of a certain function by a weighted summation of the function evaluated in a certain grin domain. El presente estudio analiza el efecto principalmente de la banca digital y las condiciones del sistema financiero sobre la inclusión financiera, utilizando información de 106 países para los años 2014, 2017 y 2021. Con base en indicadores del Global Findex, Financial Access Survey (IMF), World Development Indicators y la Unión Internacional de Telecomunicaciones se construye un índice de inclusión financiera y un índice de digitalización bancaria, incorporando variables de control como el Z-score bancario, la concentración bancaria, el ratio cost-to-income, el PIB per cápita, el margen neto de interés y la brecha de crédito. El presente trabajo consistió en la formulación de un material restaurador dental a base de nanopartículas de hidroxiapatita (HAp) obtenida de la cáscara de huevo de gallina. Para ello se utilizó el método de mecano-síntesis para la preparación de HAp usando como precursor de calcio a la cáscara de huevo, variando el tiempo de molienda y la temperatura de tratamiento térmico. Se utilizaron las técnicas de DRX, FTIR, MEB, EDS, SPOS y CRM para determinar cuáles fueron las condiciones óptimas de preparación, obteniendo que para 16 horas de molienda y 400 °C de tratamiento térmico la HAp resultante consistía en un material puro con tamaño nanométrico, inclusiones de carbonato y mayor tensión elástica interna. Se evaluó el efecto bioprotector de tres consorcios de hongos micorrízicos arbusculares nativos en plantones de tres variedades de Coffea arabica L., propagados sexual y asexualmente frente al ataque de la roya amarilla (Hemileia vastatrix). La investigación fue desarrollada en Chirapa – Lamas, bajo condiciones de vivero y en el Laboratorio de Micorrizas del IIAP, Tarapoto - San Martín. El estudio se desarrolló en el bosque de colina baja de la cuenca del río Tahuamanu, distrito de Iberia, en la provincia de Tahuamanu, en la región de Madre de Dios, en un área de 3205,52 ha. El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la estructura horizontal y la valorización económica de las especies forestales comerciales que permita conocer la viabilidad económica de las mismas. El método estuvo en función a la clasificación de costos de manera que presente características comunes para realizar los cálculos y el análisis correspondientes. La composición florística estuvo representada por un total de 19 especies forestales comerciales, agrupadas en 11 familias botánicas. The investigation constitutes an analysis of the management of hazardous solid waste during the hydrocarbon spill in Ventanilla. The method used is descriptive and comparative, consisting of the search, evaluation and analysis of the facts. Inadequate waste management was evidenced during the hydrocarbon clean-up work. After the accident occurred, the quantity and physical composition of the waste generated were not strictly accounted for, a waste hierarchy must be defined due to its dangerousness, prioritizing the separation of waste at the source of generation, and the prevention of secondary pollution.
