Using the information made available by the discovery of new canals in the Ceremonial center of Chavin de Huantar the present paper deepens the study of the origins and uses of Chavín’s hydraulic system –mainly to drain rainfall and ritual purposes, as well as a possible water supply– and investigates the influence of this development in later pre-Columbian constructions. Taking into account the latest knowledge of Chavin’s architectural sequence, the paper formulates from a hydraulics viewpoint a proposal for the construction stages of the canal networks and explores the growth of knowledge implied by this process.

El presente trabajo de investigación es un caso que trata sobre un emprendimiento de un centro de entrenamiento funcional, operativo desde el año 2016. Sus dueños vieron la oportunidad de satisfacer necesidades que los gimnasios convencionales no habían cubierto, pero todavía no ha tenido el despegue que ellos desean para su centro.

In Mexico, a high percentage of young people experience symptoms of generalized anxiety, which are associated with difficulties in executive functions (EF). However, previous studies have shown inconsistent results, as they often rely solely on either objective or subjective measures. Therefore, this study focused on analyzing the relationship between generalized anxiety and EF using both a neuropsychological battery and a self-report questionnaire, in order to provide a more comprehensive understanding of cognitive functioning in adolescents. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a widely used material in container manufacturing, particularly in bottle production. It is characterized by its low cost and widespread availability. However, its improper disposal has significantly exacerbated global plastic pollution. For instance, less than 50% of plastic bottles are recycled. Moreover, studies indicate that this issue has led to a significant accumulation of plastic waste in the oceans, which continues to grow annually and could be considered floating islands of debris. This study proposes replacing PET with polylactic acid (PLA), a biodegradable and biocompatible polymer with suitable properties for bottle production. A predator-prey model of Gause type is an extension of the classical Lotka-Volterra predator-prey model. In this work, we study a predator-prey model of Gause type, where the prey growth rate is subject to an Allee effect and the action of the predator over the prey is given by a square-root functional response, which is non-differentiable at the y-axis. This kind of functional response appropriately models systems in which the prey have a strong herd structure, as the predators mostly interact with the prey on the boundary of the herd. The systematic review was carried out using the PRISMA methodology and focused on the search for scientific articles in which the effects of omega-3 or creatine supplementation in adults over 60 years of age and its effect on cognitive function had been investigated. The search criteria were supplementation, omega 3, creatine, older adults, memory, function and cognitive impairment. The exclusion criteria were athletes and people under 60 years of age. Articles from PubMed, ScienceDirect and SciELO were included. 223 articles were found investigating the effect of omega-3 supplementation and 25 articles on creatine supplementation, of which 29 and 3 were selected that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria respectively for each group. Introducción: la dispepsia funcional incluye trastornos crónicos y recurrentes del tracto digestivo superior y que no tienen origen orgánico. Objetivos: Los objetivos de este estudio fueron determinar los factores asociados con la dispepsia funcional entre los trabajadores de establecimientos de comida rápida en un centro comercial en Huancayo, Perú. Metodología: Este es un estudio analítico de corte transversal de 128 trabajadores de comida rápida en una ciudad en el altiplano peruano. Se utilizó un nuevo cuestionario para el diagnóstico de dispepsia para diagnosticar la dispepsia funcional y registrar las variables sociales, el consumo y los hábitos alimenticios. Objetivo: planificar intervenciones de enfermería para el proceso del cuidado enfermero aplicado a paciente con hepatitis B Centro Materno Infantil Pedro Abraham López Guillen, Lima 2025. Material y métodos: “se llevó a cabo un estudio de caso clínico, descriptivo y no experimental, utilizando instrumentos como la valoración por patrones funcionales de Marjory Gordon y las taxonomías NANDA, NIC y NOC”. El siguiente estudio tiene como objetivo determinar la capacidad funcional en adultos mayores. Material y método: utilizó como instrumento el Índice de Barthel para medir la capacidad funcional de los adultos mayores. La población está conformada por 80 y una muestra de 80 AM método deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo tipo aplicado, no experimental, corte transversal y descriptivo. El análisis de los datos se hizo a través del SPSS 0.27 Resultados: Adultos mayores de sexo femenino 75%, masculino 25%, la edad predominante fue de 60 años un 15.9%, seguido por 66 años y 75 años con un 9,1% , de los cuales el 54,5% tienen dependencia leve, 29,5% independiente, 13,6% dependencia moderada, 2,3% dependencia severa. Conclusión: Un gran porcentaje de adultos mayores presentaron dependencia leve, lo que implica que deben tener un cuidador o una persona que se encuentre a su cuidado

Determinar los factores asociados a la capacidad funcional en adultos mayores atendidos en el Centro de Salud Santiago, Ica 2023. Investigación cuantitativa, transversal, nivel correlacional y diseño no experimental, con muestra de 157 adultos mayores, aplicándose la técnica de entrevista, como instrumento una ficha de recojo de datos validada por expertos. Predominó la dependencia funcional leve 49%. En factores sociodemográficos predominó la edad 70-79 años 42.7%, sexo femenino 65.0%, educación primaria 40.2%, casados 55.4%, nivel económico bajo 77.7%, no vivir solo 82.2%, tener a quien recurrir en urgencia 92.4%, y con SIS 66.2%. Objective: To determine the association between depression and functional dependence in elderly patients of the Centro Geriátrico Naval (Peruvian naval medical center for elderly people). Materials and methods: A retrospective, cross-sectional, analytic study conducted from a secondary data analysis, with a convenience sample size of 625 elderly people. Results: In the linear regression analysis which predicts functional dependence according to the Barthel Index, it was found that, for each point in the Yesavage questionnaire, the Barthel Index score decreases 4.8±1.82 points and, for every 5 points, it decreases 29.99±3.62 points. In this paper I discuss the function of the pottery assemblage uncovered from the Wari site of Marayniyoq, in the Ayacucho Valley, of the central highlands of Peru. Using the ethnographic example as a model to define the function of pottery vessels, this study indicates that the large pottery vessels found at Marayniyoq were originally manufactured to store and transport beverages. Once broken, most of these large vessels were restored and reused. At this stage, the vessels were no longer used for the original purpose, but instead as storage vessels. Because at the site there is grinding equipment that suggests that grinding was also an important activity, it is apparent that the restores vessel were used to store grains that perhaps were used in fermented beverages such as chicha. El estudio tuvo como objetivo “determinar la relación entre el dolor y la capacidad funcional en pacientes con lumbalgia atendidos en un centro de terapia física y rehabilitación en Cusco durante el año 2024”. Este trabajo se realizó bajo un diseño descriptivo correlacional de enfoque cuantitativo y corte transversal. El instrumento de evaluación fue “la escala visual analógica” (EVA) para medir la intensidad del dolor y el índice de Barthel para evaluar la capacidad funcional. La muestra fue de 45 pacientes con lumbalgia. Los resultados mostraron que el 45,2% de los pacientes presentaron dolor leve, el 34,2% moderado y el 20,5% severo. El propósito de este estudio fue determinar la relación entre el funcionamiento cognitivo y la capacidad funcional en usuarios adultos mayores de un centro de salud Iquitos 2023. El diseño del estudio fue cuantitativo, no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional y prospectivo.
