El tema seleccionado surge a partir de los resultados arrojados por la última prueba PISA de la Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD, 2023), donde se observa el bajo rendimiento educativo en el Perú. Según Helga Solís, vocera de Seguro Social de Salud (EsSalud, 2024), el 64% de los alumnos de primaria y secundaria presentan dificultades de aprendizaje, lo que genera reprobaciones, repitencias y abandono escolar. Esta situación no solo responde a deficiencias pedagógicas e intelectuales, sino también a la falta de motivación estudiantil. La motivación debería provenir de docentes capaces de aplicar estrategias innovadoras, fomentando estudiantes activos, críticos y autónomos, en lugar de receptores pasivos. Objective: To determine the association between depression and functional dependence in elderly patients of the Centro Geriátrico Naval (Peruvian naval medical center for elderly people). Materials and methods: A retrospective, cross-sectional, analytic study conducted from a secondary data analysis, with a convenience sample size of 625 elderly people. Results: In the linear regression analysis which predicts functional dependence according to the Barthel Index, it was found that, for each point in the Yesavage questionnaire, the Barthel Index score decreases 4.8±1.82 points and, for every 5 points, it decreases 29.99±3.62 points. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a widely used material in container manufacturing, particularly in bottle production. It is characterized by its low cost and widespread availability. However, its improper disposal has significantly exacerbated global plastic pollution. For instance, less than 50% of plastic bottles are recycled. Moreover, studies indicate that this issue has led to a significant accumulation of plastic waste in the oceans, which continues to grow annually and could be considered floating islands of debris. This study proposes replacing PET with polylactic acid (PLA), a biodegradable and biocompatible polymer with suitable properties for bottle production. In Mexico, a high percentage of young people experience symptoms of generalized anxiety, which are associated with difficulties in executive functions (EF). However, previous studies have shown inconsistent results, as they often rely solely on either objective or subjective measures. Therefore, this study focused on analyzing the relationship between generalized anxiety and EF using both a neuropsychological battery and a self-report questionnaire, in order to provide a more comprehensive understanding of cognitive functioning in adolescents. The graphical display of complex-valued functions of a complex variable is a subject of much interest since the graph of such a function would have to be drawn in a four-dimensional space. This article presents a proposal to display such graphs using a model based on a submersion, from four-dimensional space to three-dimensional space; then, with the help of Mathematica arrive at a representation of the graphs mentioned in a 2D screen. Additionally, some commands are implemented in Mathematica, the same that will make representations varied and interesting examples.

OBJETIVO: Determinar la relación entre la velocidad de marcha y la capacidad funcional en adultos mayores de un centro poblado en Lima, 2024. METODOLOGÍA: Se utilizó un diseño observacional, correlacional y transversal, con un enfoque cuantitativo y basado en el método hipotético-deductivo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 80 adultos mayores de un centro poblado, seleccionados mediante un muestreo censal. Se aplicaron el Índice de Barthel y la Escala de Lawton y Brody para evaluar la capacidad funcional, y el Test de Velocidad de Marcha de 4 Metros para medir la velocidad de marcha. RESULTADOS: El 65% de los adultos mayores presentó velocidad de marcha reducida. This paper analyzes the information treatment of the Mapuche people in the newspaper El Mercurio during two periods. First, between 1950 and 1973 (twentieth century); and second, during the years 2010, 2013 and 2014, (21st century). To this end, a corpus of 340 journalistic texts has been selected, of which 147 correspond to the 20th century (1950-1970) and 193, to the 21st century (2010, 2013-2014). The analysis shows that most of the frames are linked to conflicts, criminal prosecutions and arson attacks; so that El Mercurio prioritizes connotations and negative events to inform about the Mapuche indigenous people.

HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder (HAND) is not a well recognized entity but has high prevalence and impact in individuals infected with HIV. The term HAND encompasses a spectrum of progressive central nervous system (CNS) involvement, ranging from asymptomatic neurocognitive impairment and minor neurocognitive disorder through to the most severe form of HIV-associated dementia (HAD). While the incidence of HAD has declined significantly with highly active antiretroviral treatment (HAART), the milder forms of HAND have increased. The fruit of Antidesma bunius has both medicinal and edible properties. In previous studies, the fruit extract of A. bunius showed anti-proliferation activity on breast cancer cells, but its functional components and anti-tumor mechanism are still unclear. In this research, the main active components of A. bunius fruits (detected by UHPLC-MS/MS) and the corresponding targets were analyzed by network pharmacology method, and its interactions were verified by molecular docking to explore the possible tumor suppressor mechanisms. The present article will show how in a system that is built over some definite decreasing (or at least non increasing) marginal productivity production functions, exogenous stimulus that might generate some demanding on final consumption goods, altogether with the consideration of a limit in household monetary spending in domestic final products, conduct to the shaping of one certain mathematical expression that is to connect gross domestic value with the above mentioned stimulus.
