This study aims to know how the training processes of practicing teachers contribute to the construction of beliefs about teaching at the university. Froma qualitative methodology with agrounded theory approach, professors from public and private universities were selected through theoretical sampling. In-depth interviews were conducted to collect data whichwere analytically coded. Among the results it was found that the teachers' beliefs come frominstitutional training of a normative typewhich emphasizes a functional teaching in didactic techniques, use of technology and innovation, excluding training in knowledge of the discipline they teach. Thus,it was also found that teachers carry out self-training processes on a personal initiativefor updating scientific knowledgeand develop their practices teaching with strategies that they themselves use to learn, because they believe in their o...

This study analyzes the psychometric structure of the CAPE- R scale, which assesses the beliefs about the educational process in rural teachers; explores the teacher´s profile, and analyzes the significant differences between the beliefs according to sociodemographic variables. The sample included 150 rural teachers from Mendoza, Argentina. The exploratory factor analysis yielded a factorial structure made up of four factors that explained a 44.19% of the variance of responses to the test. Internal consistency coefficients ranged from .74 to .85. The data show a predominance of difficulties in the educational process dimension (M=2.83; DE=.69), the only dimension that reached a significant association with the educational level of the classes (F =4.77, p<.05).

The aim of this study was to reveal formative assessments as being a component of the teaching-learning process in the university context in post-COVID-19 times. This study has focused on the qualitative approach through the interpretive phenomenological method. The data gathering tool used was that of a semi-structured interview with seven professors from the education and engineering programs at the Universidad Nacional José María Arguedas, Peru. The methodological procedure involved the organization through the Atlas.ti computer program and the transcription of the information through content analysis, resulting in the emergence of validated categories through the triangulation process reflecting the phenomenological reduction. The results showed there to be three categories: the role of the professor in the formative assessment, socio-emotional bonding, and learning feedback. In co...

This article presents an experience carried out by the faculty of the third year of the Infant Education degree at the Ramon Llull University in Barcelona (Spain). A proposal for multidisciplinary intervention that joins two modules: one for arts (musical, corporal, visual, and plastic education) and another for sciences (mathematics, and experimental and social sciences). The intervention stems from a generating idea—the book “Alice in Wonderland”—which allows for connections between the contents of the modules, involves co-teaching, multidisciplinary work, and shared evaluation experiences. The aim of the study is to get to know the perception of the participating faculty about the changes in the didactic components involved in the experience. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were carried out at three moments of the process and a discussion group at the end. The ...

This article aimed to understand what teachers say about their literacy skills. To this end, we discuss the historicity of literacy, about what literacy and literacy would be, seeking to bring current theoretical foundations about the process of acquisition of reading and writing by deaf students enrolled in Early Childhood Education and Elementary School I. We also approach the subject of writing and literacy and the role of the literacy teacher. The research was developed with two teachers and pedagogical support from CAS Mossoró, as they work with specialized educational assistance to deaf students enrolled in the Education modality of the municipal teaching network of Mossoró/RN. The research will be of a qualitative nature, we will use questionnaires and interviews as instruments of data collection, seeking from what approximate answers say about your literacy practice. The study ...

This study explores the perception of some university professors regarding the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education teaching. Using a qualitative approach, fifty professors from various disciplines were carefully selected and interviewed to obtain their perspectives on the impact of AI in the educational field. The professors responded to a semi-structured questionnaire covering six key aspects: their general perception of AI in education, the use of AI-based tools, perceived benefits, concerns, recommendations for successful implementation, and the future vision of AI’s role in higher education. The data obtained show a positive attitude towards AI, highlighting its potential to personalize learning, automate repetitive tasks, and improve educational efficiency. However, concerns also emerged, such as the privacy of students’ data, the cost of accessing AI...

Objective: This study analyzes practical, didactic, and evaluative experiences in the context of university professional practice, drawing on the narratives of 47 students (from initial, intermediate, and final internships) and 9 tutor-teachers from two campuses of a state university in southern Chile. Method: Data were collected through discussion groups guided by a thematically validated script and analyzed using structural analysis, applying a parallel structure in the form of binary discourse. Results: The findings show that tutor-teacher supervision promotes dialogic learning and that the emotional dimension is a central component of student–teacher interactions. In addition, the portfolio of evidence emerges as the most widely used didactic and evaluative resource in the training process. Discussion: Student narratives reveal tensions related to the outdated knowledge of some tut...

Objective: to know the influence of Emotional Pedagogy in the development of learning, from the perspective of Mexican high school students. A qualitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out from March to June 2024, in 5 high schools in Coahuila, Mexico. The sample of 91 participants was obtained from typical cases and the data collection was based on qualitative questionnaires in Forms. The results indicated that some teachers proposed positive learning environments where respect and affectivity were the basis for learning. It seems that a link was found between: the curriculum, which involved the formality of the system; learning, which developed knowledge; and learning, which involved the emotional. It was concluded that Emotional Pedagogy was not rhetoric, but actions full of specific achievements, which resisted the most evident prophecies for the less favored.

The present study explores the knowledge and perceptions that 72 Chilean EFL (English as a foreign language) pre-service teachers have regarding the effect of video games in their daily and academic routine in terms of foreign language learning. By applying a 5-point Likert scale, it was possible to gather data concerning their sociodemographic characteristics and their views in relation to five dimensions: (1) Generalexperience with video games, (2) general preferences about video games, (3) strengths and weaknesses of video games, (4) video games as a learning experience, and (5) video games and the four language skills. Once the data were collected, the Spearman’s orrelation coefficient was used with the purpose of determining the relationships among the respondents’ answers. The results indicated that the four language skills, especially the receptive skills, can be practiced whi...
