We present the evaluation of a training program with teachers of adult education. The Seminario en Gestión Pedagógica para Directores, Subdirectores y Docentes nombrados de los Centros de Educación Básica Alternativa Públicosis conducted in Spain from the University ofValencia. Introduction. Type 2 diabetes is a public health problem whose management is very complex, recognizingmultiple problems and limitations for an adequate control of the disease. Objective. To determine the effect of educational program added to the usual treatment, in the control of patients with type 2 diabetes in a peruvian national hospital. Methods. A longitudinal analytical study of three months of follow-up was conducted. Fifty consecutive patients with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes who were treated in the outpatient clinical of the endocrinology service agreed to voluntarily participate in the four sessions in groups of 5-8 participants (1session/week). This article arises in view of the objective need to determine what are the causes why the Peruvian university, in general, is facing the current crisis that can be perceived as a product of the lack of application of a good part of the scope established in the National Strategic Plan regarding the university and its operation. This lack of application is what has resulted in the conditions that are seen within the problematic of university education, trying to explain it in the best way to understand this conflictive situation. The general conclusion is aimed at determining guidelines that lead to understand the underlying problem and to be aware of the need for competent authorities to act on the aforementioned crisis in order to seek to reverse the current situation that is occurring.

The article focuses on the confrontation /comparison? between the naturalistic and the experimental paradigms to evaluate educational programs. It examines the theoretical framework of each paradigm and the proposed methodology to pursue an evaluation. Finally, the article addresses the possibility of a reconciliation between both paradigms.

Objetives: To determine the main factors for desertion from the Arterial Hypertension Program. Setting: Chiclayo Almanzor Aguinaga National Hospital. Design: Analytical case-control study. Material and methods: Cases were 126 patients who deserted for over 6 months and controls the 252 patients who continued in the program, paired for sex, age, place of referral and hypertension level; patients with complications or adscription changes were excluded. A domiciliary survey was applied. Results: Low knowledge about hypertension was the main factor (OR: 15.31), including desinterest in monthly control (OR: 14,6), treatment negligence when both arterial blood pressure returned to normality (OR: 13,8) or when asymptomatic (OR: 13,2), all meaning inappropiate illness consciousness. Mathematicians and computational designers from a School of Architecture, explore visual programming in the environment of a design software with exercises of a basic mathematics course to overcome the limitations of hand drawing and computerized representation of geometry. We link the learning of geometry, which was associated with abstract aspects of mathematics, with the possibilities of solving design problems in the same environment that students use to design with technologies. The World Health Organization defines smoking as a chronic addictive disease widespread worldwide. It represents one of the greatest threats to public health, affecting children, youth and adults. It is estimated, that there are 1.300 million smokers in the world and about 80% of these live in countries where there is a high rate of morbidity and mortality associated with tobacco mainly in adult consumers. In particular, the consumption of tobacco among young university students is evident and worrisome. Different authors in the world have raised factors for tobacco use among adolescents and young adults. Such studies argue that the habit of smoking usually begins during adolescence and consolidates in the university stage. Smoking in parents, relatives, and friends is a factor, perhaps the most remarkable, which is associated with the acquisition of smoking as a habit.

The process of creation of the educational policies must be in accordance with plans that come after them. The politics and the programs of training argue, among their objectives, the possibility of transforming the practice in something better, the article analyzes the process to achieve the transformation. Additionally, a brief presentation of the program of teaching formation, implemented by the Ministry of Education in 2002, is shown.
