Nowadays, wireless sensor devices have received wide attention across medical application areas; among them, implantable sensing devices are between the most important because of the contribution they make to healthcare and investigations. Nevertheless, the implantable sensing devices must be tested before pre-clinical or in-vivo studies are initiated and test benches are used to perform this previous tests. For this reason, this thesis presents the design and implementation of a test bench to acquire the data from an implantable sensing device that is being developed and will be used to sense the pressure within the thoracic cavity of mammals. The main objective on this research is the development of finding the optimal parameters for a routing algorithm for network routers based on the ant algorithm described as AntNet. The optimum parameters for this type of algorithm improve a more efficient alternative to those given by the RIP, EIGRP and OSPF routing protocols, to be applied in a data network. This shall be tested in two networks and routers defined, taking the same characteristics for the three groups: RIP, OSPF and by the result provided by the genetic algorithm implemented using a static network. The Vaccinium genus consists of a variety of berries with high nutritious components consumed worldwide leading to the development of micropropagation protocols to supply the demand. Mortiño, the Andean Blueberry (Vaccinium floribundum Kunth) is a wild berry that grows in high-altitude grasslands with nutritious and commercial potential in Ecuador. In this study, the use of PPMTM (Plant Preservative Mixture™) was effective controlling contamination for the in vitro establishment of Vaccinium floribundum Kunth in contrast to a conventional method using EtOH and Clorox. Stems were defoliated and cut into 1 cm segments, then immersed in liquid MS (Murashige & Skoog) supplemented with 5% v/v PPMTM without pH adjustment for 5 hours under constant shaking. Actualmente existen en nuestro País un incremento de robos, asaltos y secuestros en prácticamente todos los distritos de Lima y Provincia, y estos es por la ineficaz comunicación en registrar y visualizar los eventos ocurridos durante el incidente con la celeridad que se deba para el caso. Setting: Hospital Nacional Docente Madre-Niño San Bartolome, Lima, Peru. Participants: Pregnant and puerperal women. Interventions: Clinical charts of 206 patients attended between January 2007 and December 2009 and with consideration of extreme maternal morbidity related to specific disease, organic or management failure were revised.
