This paper deals with some of the issues that affect the understanding and functioning of descriptive psychopathology (DP). The latter remains the language of description in psychiatry and the basis for her nosological constructs. DP makes assumptions concerning the nature of its object and its underlying causes (i.e. makes use of the medical model). DP needs historical, clinical and numerical recalibration. It is suggested that in some cases, and against traditional psychometric principles, some instruments will have to be constructed that show flexibility and can be varied according to the descriptive needs presented by individual cases.

Objective: To analyze the prevalence of the use of descriptive hypotheses in theses presented at top universities in Peru during 2020. Methods: A quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional study was conducted. The population included theses available in the digital repositories of leading Peruvian universities. The sample was intentionally selected, considering undergraduate and graduate theses from various faculties. Data were obtained through document review and categorization of theses based on the type of hypothesis used. Descriptive statistics were employed to determine frequencies and percentages, and comparisons were made between academic levels. Introduction. Infective Endocarditis (IE) is a disease caused by the invasion of pathogenic organisms into the cardiac endothelium. Objectives. To determine the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of Infectious Endocarditis in the Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo, 2014-2019, Lima-Perú. Methods. Observational, descriptive and retrospective study. Patients older than 18 years with a diagnosis of IE according to modified Duke criteria, who had a complete blood count, blood culture, and echocardiogram were included. Investigación que busca el diseño de un proceso mediante el cual los profesores de educación básica del Perú puedan fortalecer sus conocimientos teóricos y didácticos de la estadística descriptiva y la probabilidad, para impulsar cambios en su práctica docente. Nuestro marco teórico es el modelo del Conocimiento Didáctico Matemático del profesor (CDM), de Pino-Fan y Godino (2015). El presente estudio se realizó con el objetivo de determinar el nivel de habilidades sociales en estudiantes de quinto año de secundaria de una institución educativa parroquial de Carmen de a Legua. La investigación es de tipo descriptivo. Fueron evaluados 50 alumnos del 5to año de secundaria, se utilizó el tipo de muestra censal y para ello se aplicó el instrumento Lista de Chequeo de Habilidades Sociales de Goldstein, adaptada para la población peruana por Ambrosio Tomas Rojas. Los resultados señalan que el 58% de la población presenta un nivel normal de habilidades sociales. En relación a las dimensiones, se observa que la mayoría presenta nivel normal y buen nivel de este constructo.

El objetivo de esta investigación fue decidir las estrategias de afrontamiento más aprovechadas en adolescentes de Cercado de Lima - Barrios Altos, para las cuales se utilizó el tipo de investigación descriptiva. To this end, this investigation will focus on the cases of Peru and Colombia, with the validity of Decision 486, to identify the form and content in which the competent Administrative Authority resolved certain trademark applications, in relation to absolute registration impediments of marking of signs referring to a geographical indication or origin of the place of origin contained in literals e), i), l) of article 135 of Decision 486.

The purpose of this research is to propose a didactic sequence for practicing elementary school teachers, which will allow them to create problem situations to trigger data management processes. The theoretical framework used is the Statistical Thinking approach in empirical research by Wild and Phannkuch (1999). The basis of our strategy for the creation of problem situations is the first dimension proposed by this approach, the empirical research cycle or PPDAC cycle. The methodology to be used in this research is qualitative and seeks to validate the proposed didactic sequence. We have a first version of the didactic sequence, which will be implemented with a group of teachers who have followed strengthening workshops that include knowledge of the PPDAC cycle. This will allow us to validate the effectiveness of the proposal and make the necessary adjustments in the sequence.
